What age did you all get engaged, married, have kids and buy your first house etc?!

Just wondering really, what age you did all these things?

Also is there expectations in life to do these things?

We got together at 18.
We got engaged at 30.
We bought our house aged 32.
We got married at 35. (Covid and house purchase occurred between getting engaged and getting married so delayed our plans a bit!)
We don’t have children and don’t want them.

First house 27. Engaged 28, married day before my 30th, babies born at 31 and 32.

Bought my first house when I was 20yo, single.

had Dd when I was 23yo.

Bought first property (flat) at 23.

Got engaged later that year at 23. We had discussed and agreed marriage but not for a few years but I had very religious parents and we thought at least being engaged would appease theor disapproval. It didn't, particularly as we didn't arrange a wedding immediately

Got married at 26.

Bought first property together (house) at 30.

Had first baby next year still age 30 (just).
Second and last baby age 39 (secondary infertility).
Forever home age 45.

Now age 51 and still married! No regrets except perhaps that we should have got engaged/married a couple of years later as it was all a bit of a struggle financially and time wise as I was paying my own way through evening law college ages 23-27 as well as working FT, paying mortgage etc.

Can't believe how worried I was about having a mortgage at 23 (on a salary of 14k, flat cost 45k). Totally out of reach for most of the young folk these days.

We bought our first house when I was 19 , got engaged at 20 and married at 21 . I had my first child at 22 and mainly happily married for 32 years

Engaged is still very much a thing amongst young people that I know.

Engaged 23, first house bought 24, married 26, sold/bought next house 28, DC#1 30 (after fertility treatment), DC#2 33.

There is absolutely no obligation to do any of these things OP, especially if you have no interest in any of them. One of my siblings rents, isn't married (but does have a partner) and has one child. My other siblings are married, own their houses and have children. Another relative owns their house, not married, no children, one cat.

Engaged 17. Bought house 24. Married 26. Kids 31.

Engaged/married never (well, not yet at least!), had DS aged 20, bought house at 26

First house 24 first baby 26 2nd baby 33 not married after 22 years. No expectations to be honest. No one in my family are married (cousins, siblings) all long term partners and children. I'm the only one to buy a house they all rent, everyone has their own circumstances and finances so can't compare to others.

Engaged at 24, married the next year, I was 28 when we bought our house and 29 when I had my first child, widowed at 39.
