Let's be honest. The BBC feels the need to have this as a major headline for woke reasons. The reality is few people give a shit....

Um..... OK 👍 I think it's great but each to their own.

HyggeTygge · 27/07/2025 21:25

Yeah, England as a country is famously uninterested in football.

1000DayChallenge · 27/07/2025 21:25

That’s just not true though is it. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean no one does.

Perhaps you could do more research or STFU

I beg to disagree. I think plenty of people care. More than you think obviously.

Sandyoldelbows · 27/07/2025 21:25

Everyone I know has been talking about it! It’s quite nice to celebrate wining and they are super role models.

LadyKenya · 27/07/2025 21:25

Eh? I have no interest at all, but I get that other people feel differently, and have enjoyed cheering them on.

Nailed it!

Choice4567 · 27/07/2025 21:26

Well seeing as the Men’s football also gets headline coverage for such things, how is it woke?

PermanentTemporary · 27/07/2025 21:27

YEEEEEAHHHH KELLY!!! Heroine!

[orders Hannah Hampton shirt]

Sorry did you say something? Cheers!

lapuf · 27/07/2025 21:27

Literally just logged on to get the lionesses report

HardworkSendHelp · 27/07/2025 21:27

Omg that’s so bad, I give a shit! We
have been a long time waiting on the men to win anything. I am from Northern Ireland and was watching All Ireland match in the pub. Had to wait for hubby to see penalties in England ladies game before I was collected so he must have give a shit too!

D734 · 27/07/2025 21:28

What utter rubbish

saveforthat · 27/07/2025 21:28

Well of course everyone cares. Well everyone I know. How lovely to have some good news for a change. Before the match one of the players said "Now little girls can say I want to be a footballer when I grow up".
When I was a child that was just a fantasy.

chachahide · 27/07/2025 21:29

The TV rating suggest it’s headline worthy. ITVs largest rating this year.

you seem to have confused you don’t give a shit, with no one will, strange logic.

ErrolTheDragon · 27/07/2025 21:29

I’m not at all into football but seems like news for an England team to win a match in a penalty shootout.😂

Moveoverdarlin · 27/07/2025 21:29

My Facebook and Instagram feeds are full of people talking about it. I watched it. My parents in their 80s watched it, so did the in-laws and my kids (boys) were massively in to it, despite not being that interested in football usually.

I think people really do give a shit even if they’re not huge football fans. It was great to watch.

TwilightAb · 27/07/2025 21:30

Are you one of those men who are mortally offended by women playing football op?

Drivingthevengabus · 27/07/2025 21:30

🤣🤣🤣🤣 ok

Sarah2891 · 27/07/2025 21:31

Nonsense. There's a lot of interest. I think you know that...

Congrats to the Lionesses!

Kedece · 27/07/2025 21:31

Don't be ridiculous ita nothing to do with being woke. Its a brilliant achievement. Let's face it if it was the men's team it would be all wed be hearing about for months

I've got a Chelsea women's season ticket - I might get a Hampton shirt! Love her.

Ha!

It did come home, after all. Just not how the men thought it would. I couldn't help smiling when I saw it, and I'm not even English.

PickledMuffin · 27/07/2025 21:35

Wow!! The negativity is unnecessary, I and many other people I know do give a shit so take your unwanted bullshit opinion elsewhere.
