Hang on, he's only just died, he had parkinsons and other health problems, such a character, he will be sorely missed.

May he rest in peace, thoughts for his family. I hope that the concert a couple of weeks ago enabling him to perform for one last time gives some comfort to them and others as they mourn.

Oh bless him, his family must be devastated, he's not been a picture of health for a long time but given he was recently touring this must be very unexpected.

I think he’s had a bloody good life, fame, money, travel and a family - he’s really lived his best life.

He essentially had said he was moving "home" (Birmingham) to die.
I loved him on their reality show - it was just completely silly.
So pleased he got to do the concert.

I'm so glad for his fans that he managed to do a fairwell concert and he did a comic con in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago too.

So glad he got to do the final concert. He’s gone out on such a high.
We had tickets for his show in 2019, which was postponed due to the fall at home accident, then eventually got cancelled altogether. Never saw him live again. So sad.

Just watching on the news, a total shock. They always seem to be a close and loving family. What a shame.

Oh that is so sad!

His farewell concert raised millions for a local children’s hospice, as well as Birmingham Children’s Hospital and I think a Parkinson’s charity.

What a guy. I'm going to see a Black Sabbath ballet in October!

I am in total shock - I knew he was very ill but weirdly didn't expect this any time soon!

He went out in style, just a couple of weeks after that hugely successful concert. So pleased he was able to do that.

Life is so unpredictable - watching him at that concert, you'd never have thought he only had a couple of weeks left.

Poor Sharon and his kids, they'll be broken-hearted. Bless them all.

Oh gosh. He only played his farewell concert on 5 July. I'm glad he got to have that
