I admit I was never a fan but in spite of everything he was a real survivor and fighter, right to the very end.

PowerhouseOfTheCell · 22/07/2025 19:46

RIP. I watched Sharon in CBB and you could tell she adored him despite all the stuff he put her through

MarySueSaidBoo · 22/07/2025 19:46

Given his lifestyle, he's done amazingly well to get to 76 and with Parkinson's.
A life well lived.

I feel very sad for Sharon, I'm not sure how she'll manage without him. She's looked frail too for some time now.

Cause of death?

All the drugs...

Lonelycrab · 22/07/2025 19:50

RIP

So great to see him perform one last time. That gig will go down in history. A true godfather of not just one genre but a whole ton of genres that came off of it.

🤘

All the drugs...

Are you his doctor or the coroner? Show a bit of respect.

GinandRunning · 22/07/2025 19:51

Absolutely devastating, saw him the back to the beginning show at villa park. He was his usual brilliant self but looked very frail 😢

CatHasTrophy · 22/07/2025 19:52

LindorDoubleChoc · 22/07/2025 19:41

He was the living embodiment of how the body will sometimes forgive you for putting it through absolute hell. I used to watch At Home With The Osbournes (guilty pleasure and when that sort of TV was a novelty) and he really looked to be on his last legs then. He did well to get to 76! RIP Ozzy.

I was just thinking the same thing. He spent most of the time looking bemused and shouting for Sharon.

RIP Ozzy.

MeganM3 · 22/07/2025 19:52

Wonder whether it was euthanasia in the end. He seemed to be struggling a lot and had mentioned it previously. So soon after his farewell show. He did himself and fans proud, I didn’t get to be there for the live performance but watched a lot of it online. He was one of a kind!!

I think Ozzy pretty much said the same thing during his lifetime and that it was a miracle he was still alive.

I don't think its disrespectful. It was a huge part of his life. Both illegal and dubiously prescribed.

JackJarvisEsq · 22/07/2025 19:53

despite his illnesses and injuries he always seemed invincible

sad to hear the news, he’ll be very much missed

MarySueSaidBoo · 22/07/2025 19:54

I read on another site that there were rumours about Switzerland...

Mumofsoontobe3 · 22/07/2025 19:54

So sad. A true legacy he has left behind, I really feel for Sharron 💜

Gazelda · 22/07/2025 20:00

sad news. Although not unexpected, it was a shock to hear.

and what a shame that posters can’t resist ghoulish and disrespectful speculation.

MarySueSaidBoo · 22/07/2025 19:54

Was just going to say this.

Sharron stated in an interview some time ago they were going to Switzerland however Kelly claimed her mother was being silly and it was untrue.

However - they then said they were in Switzerland for treatment.

Edited - posted too soon.

lifeonmars100 · 22/07/2025 20:04

oh no! shocked but not surprised, so glad he got to say farewell to all his fans. Poor Sharon and the rest of his family, they will be devastated. Even when you know it is coming you are never ready,

Viviennemary · 22/07/2025 20:04

I've just seen this on the news. RIP.

AcquadiP · 22/07/2025 20:05

So sad. He was such a character. RIP Ozzy.

Dustythewondercat · 22/07/2025 20:05

not unexpected, but feel weirdly sad.

CanOfMangoTango · 22/07/2025 20:05

RIP you absolute fucking legend 🦇

Loved every minute of Back to the Beginning, the atmosphere was immense, you could see how much it meant to him to have all of us there to see his final show in Birmingham.

I didn't know the end would come so quickly, he was obviously frail but giving his all that night.

What a way to go, 200 million quid raised for charity. That's a legacy in itself never mind the decades of music.

Thoughts with his family, he was loved.

Lesina · 22/07/2025 20:06

Needmorelego · 22/07/2025 19:18

Of being Ozzy.
The legend he was.

This 💯

I was wondering about this. Seems likely. Both with the timing and also for the obvious reasons with his suffering from his medical condition and other health and age related reasons. Would make sense he'd consider making that decision and choice:(

I really got a bad feeling with the concert, raising all that money for charity and then following that over the last week or so, auctioning off some of his artwork, that he knew that he would be going very soon and was literally saying his final goodbyes 😔
When I saw about him raising even more money auctioning of the artwork, I thought oh no... 😟
I was listening to his music in my caravan only yesterday 😥 Rip Ozzy

Oh bless him. RIP. Glad he managed to do his Villa gig earlier this month. He reached a good age really.

I've been comfort watching The Osbournes lately. They were crazy but adored each other.

Same here, under all the yelling there was such love and kindness.

Livelovebehappy · 22/07/2025 20:07

A legend of his time. He was a big influence during the birth of heavy rock. Wonder how many of today’s bland singers will be remembered in 40 years time? He definitely packed a lot into his life.

Alexandra2001 · 22/07/2025 20:10

Worshiped Black Sabbath in my youth, some of their stuff is timeless, he was a legend & he lived his best life!

RIP
