For me it is terribly pedestrian.

Hot soapy shower before bed. Getting into bed all clean and warm makes me feel so good.

Peppermint tea before bed- same

Getting up at 5.30 am and having a quiet cup of coffee and reading a book before everyone else gets up at 6.

Dishwasher. Life-changing; no more arguments about dishes piling up by the sink.

HaggardyOldSkin · 09/06/2025 18:36

Coffee dogs and sleep. Amazing stuff.

My dog

working from home in a relatively stress free job with nice people in a team where everyone is just nice. There is literally no ‘side’ to any of them. It’s so nice after years of working in bitchy offices

Divorce, adopting a cat and joining a gym.

Pricelessadvice · 09/06/2025 20:48

My animals. They are my whole world and I love them all.

My morning latte from my coffee machine with a dog either side of me while I browse the internet.

Getting in to bed early with my cats, the TV and my Nintendo switch lite (my guilty pleasure!). I have the TV on for background noise and just play some relaxed games like crosswords or Tetris.

Whataninterestinglookingpotato · 09/06/2025 20:49

Exercise. Mainly running but some weights, classes and other sporty hobbies too. It’s made such a difference both physically and mentally.

Anzena · 09/06/2025 20:49

Going to bed early when all the work is done.

Frothy coffee first thing in the morning. I have heart arrythmia and can only have one precious cup per day, otherwise it sets it off!

Planting perennials and seeing them grow, again and again.

Playing with my 1yr old cutest nephew and watching him learn and grow. No kids of my own. Precious time, and I can hand him back too!

Plenty more, but I'll give someone else a chance...

daisychain01 · 09/06/2025 20:50

Sport, exercise, yoga

Having a lovely garden and greenhouse.

having a DH who's a keeper.

Extra strong bin bags. Not having rubbish splatter around every time I empty it feels worth the environmental catastrophe

RedPandaFluff · 09/06/2025 20:52

Working from home has made a MASSIVE difference to my quality of life. It has removed all the stress of trying to wrangle kids out the door to school and nursery and then sprinting to the train station in time to catch a packed commuter train. I also take half an hour out to walk my eldest home from school rather than send her to after-school club, and she sits in my office with me while I carry on working for a couple of hours.

Honestly I think if I were still commuting every day I’d have burnt out by now, or had some sort of breakdown!

TheyNicknamedHerTheBolter · 09/06/2025 20:52

Antidepressants, a dishwasher and using baking paper everytime I use an over tray.

happytobee · 09/06/2025 20:52

Loading the washing machine before bed and setting it to start / finish in the am for when I get up so I can get straight to drying it and put on another load if needed!

Washing up bowl with a plug in the bottom, so much easier to change out the water, I also have a double sink so I use the smaller to rinse and the water doesn’t get so gross!

SleepQuest33 · 09/06/2025 20:54

Weight/strength training
running (not fast and nit long! Won’t be participating in a half marathon but love the short run)
recently started fasting (watching mindy Pelz on YouTube) and that has been amazing!!!
