I didn't say she'd come from Manchester. I don't know where she got on as she was there when I got on and I didn't ask her. I got on at Huddersfield and off at Wakefield Kirkgate to change train. She was still on.

Actually I am not sure Samantha Brick is much of a raise over Liz Jones to be honest, but I did at least sit next to her and it was a plane not a train, so I think that still counts.

I'm from a small town in Scotland and walked past Liz outside Harrods a couple of summers ago. I was also expecting her to look a bit more put together.

She wasn't wearing a lot of makeup but she did have harsh black liquid liner around her eyes. I've never been able to get that right.

I think I read one or two of her diary posts. Seemed to be about lots of animals that needed the vet but she couldn’t afford it and an unnamed man and more bills and debts and she was so poor , yet was drinking expensive tea and nibbling on something from harrods but didn’t actually eat really and her house was full of boxes of stuff and she couldn’t afford the heating or electric and was cold in her bottega Veneta dress or something

No, I'm the same, I often fail to recognise people I actually know. I wouldn't know an A-list celeb if they slapped me in the face, let alone a newspaper columnist.

The ‘rockstar’ for one was completely made up for the readers. If you believed any of that, I have some magic beans to sell you.
