I’m not going to link or post his picture as he’s beyond evil and I can’t bear to look at him. I don’t want to be a grief vampire at all, that’s not what this post is about. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced such a response to it or anything else? I haven’t experienced it before

No.

TaffyTuck · 24/01/2025 19:28

Sick of seeing its face everywhere utterly repulsed by it have to look away

DeliciousApples · 24/01/2025 19:29

I shuddered at the face of pure evil.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 24/01/2025 19:30

Yes, it came up the other day (first time I'd seen it) and wanted to throw up. I was in bed and couldn't get to sleep for an hour or so either. Absolute evil.

I need to put this in a gentle way. I don't think there will be many more pictures taken of him in the future. Criminals are criminals. Most are not child murderers and take great offence against those who are.I don't see him lasting very long. But yes. Pure evil. Those poor babies and their loving families. May they all have peace one day

No, I don't "have a visceral reaction to the picture in the news of Axel the murderer".
I don't understand why he is worse than Kyle Clifford, the man who murdered three women and recently pleaded guilty. In fact Clifford's crime is more troubling since it is just an extreme example of the type of misogynistic hyper-controlling crime of violence that men perpetrate against women time and time again every fucking week, whereas Axel Rudakubana's appalling crime is profoundly untypical.
What exactly makes your reaction to an image of the killer so visceral in this particular case? could it be to do with the incidental facts of his appearance?

coxesorangepippin · 24/01/2025 19:45

Odd how we get that pic now, but before it was when he was Doctor who?

Just shows how the media portrays people how they think we ought to see them

dothehokeycokey · 24/01/2025 19:46

I saw the pic flash up on my feed yesterday and recoiled at how fucking scary he looked and then realised who it was.

Hideous excuse for a human. Let's hope he gets constantly tortured inside for a prolonged time

howrudeforme · 24/01/2025 19:48

No.

The stock photo was deliberately chosen because he looks frightening in that pose with is head down looking up. It’s meant to cause shock.

Oh have a day off. Can we make one thing not about race for fucks sake?

It's his mug shot, not a stock photo. Much more genuine showing that than the original ones released of him looking like an innocent 10 year old boy.

GiraffesAtThePark · 24/01/2025 19:57

Yes! Made me think of the picture of Myra Hindley.

Newyearnewmewoooop · 24/01/2025 19:58

Nothing to do with racism 🙄 It’s because he looks fucking terrifying

He’s not worse as there’s no point in ranking such evil men but the public has a bigger reaction to children being killed over adults and also random attacks over people known to the victim. Not passing judgement on that but that’s generally the reaction.

MJconfessions · 24/01/2025 20:03

You know what, I get what you mean. I saw his pic when I was scrolling down my feed, so I saw his hair then forehead then eyes etc as opposed to the full picture in frame.

it started off creepy but just looked hilarious once I saw his mouth. His eyes look evil, but with the stupid mouth pose he just looks like he wants to come across as hard or whatever

Stepfordian · 24/01/2025 20:06

Criminals try to distort their faces on their mugshots, it makes it harder to recognise them if they’re ever wanted. I’m not sure why he bothered to be honest, no chance he’s going to ever leave prison. Probably just did it because he could.

zigzagzigzagz · 24/01/2025 20:11

It’s an unsettling picture, I think it’s the eyes. If you compare to say the picture of Sara Sharif’s father. He is obviously also an evil, sadistic man but to me it’s not the same reaction from looking at the photo.

No, it's because he murdered children.

I feel like Sharif’s mugshot looks like Jekyll and Hyde as in the 2 halves of his face have different expressions. I remember one side looked very angry.

XenoBitch · 24/01/2025 20:19

No. I follow my local police force FB page, and a lot of mugshots look disturbing.
You only have a visceral reaction because you know the context behind the photo. Sometimes, a mugshot is all they have a of person who is missing (not wanted).

EasternStandard · 24/01/2025 20:20

It’s awful, he looks evil

More than the image was the outlining of his crime, horrendous

I did get upset at that

Pigeonqueen · 24/01/2025 20:21

I felt that way when I saw the mugshot of Emma Tustin (murder of Arthur L Hughes). All the photos we’d seen of her up to that point were very flattering, heavily edited selfies, and there she was looking every inch the hard faced murderer she was / is.

MounjaroOnMyMind · 24/01/2025 20:22

What's so terrifying about the other guy, though, is that he looked normal. I prefer monsters to look like monsters, to give us fair warning.

I'm sure you're trying to make some terribly clever point about his image, but the fact you don't understand why someone has a visceral reaction to someone who stabbed a child over 100 times, dragged a child back in who was escaping, said ye was glad they'd died and made a big scene during witness statements about not having drunk enough today...

I have absolutely no words. Shame on you.

Shewaitsandwaits · 24/01/2025 20:25

When I first saw that photo of him I was repulsed and horrified and all I could think of was this was the last face those innocent little girls would see.
I was thinking earlier today that people can't help what their faces look like but some can make themselves look more horrifying and threatening because they choose to.
Sometimes creating physical anomalies that psychologically the majority of people would find frightening.
I learned many decades ago that evil wears many faces.
Sometimes evil comes with the face of someone that you would not be afraid of, you would not cross the street to avoid.
