Anyone else have a visceral reaction to the picture in the news of Axel the murderer

I’m not going to link or post his picture as he’s beyond evil and I can’t bear to look at him. I don’t want to be a grief vampire at all, that’s not what this post is about. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced such a response to it or anything else? I haven’t experienced it before

Whoever took the photo ( I'm assuming in Police Custody) are they not allowed to give the subject direction?

Or do they just need to photo them as the subject wants to present themselves to the world?

He looks like he's doing the really horrible face where you push your tongue over your bottom teeth and push your bottom lip forward . Anyone who knows it will know what it means and it is vile .

I think A.R. definitely looks evil in the mugshot but obviously we shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking that all child killers will look evil and seem like psychopaths.. you just never can tell who is a risk to children just by looking at them unfortunately..

to give an example the evil SS Dr Mengele killed many children himself at Auschwitz as he experimented on them yet he was known for his charm & good looks and after the war escaped justice to live as a family man.

In his case perhaps ww2 gave him the opportunity to commit horrendous crimes that he may not otherwise have committed but we will never know. But my point is you would not guess from photos that he was a child killer.

When I first heard about the attack on the girls at the Taylor Swift group I felt the terrible murders may be incel related as Taylor Swift in particular is hated by many incel types both here & in the USA, for whatever reason.

Seriously, dealing with criminals at this level, getting them to 'look smart' for their mug shot is the least of your worries when you've already been abused and assaulted during the arrest process.

The police just need an image of the suspect. However they present themselves is how their photograph is taken.

But they knew this photo would be the one shown , they would know looking at it the reaction it would get from the General Public .

It wouldn't have been taken mid arrest , he;d have been in custody .

My first thought was he looks like he been taking some very strong substances. That said, there hasn't been any mention I'm the reports I've read of his mental state being caused by drug use or addiction.

Most evil people look normal (Lucy Letby, Beverly Allit were just girl next door types to look at) though there have been a few who look obviously creepy (Charles Manson was one of them). I remember seeing a newspaper article about poor little Maria Colwell, and her stepfather looked horrifying! I would have thought there was something off about him even had I not known he tortured his little stepdaughter to death. I wouldn't have known what he had done of course, but I know I would have been like "he looks like one scary guy."

I was reading loads of posts on news about how people were wishing that he meets a nasty end and the Prison Officers shouldn;t rush to help him.
I daresay he will.
But if he is ill then he'll get medical attention.that many other people could do with .

what happened here is he was in the public eye as a young child, so the press had an image. Very likely the police didn’t offer a more recent one. He was still
a child when charged, so his identity was an issue.

the family aren’t going to give out family photos. Sounds like there weren’t many days out or family dinners if he was a troubled child.

so you are left with what the pol ie release ( his mugshot) which can only be used after he turned 18) and his bbc photo. If he hadn’t been in children in need trailer, we’d only have that one photo

Not repulsed but the latest one he does look like he has dead eyes. his school photo looks quite normal.

Please grant adults with slightly more intelligence. I didn't need a photo to tell me he's a scumbag. I wouldn't have thought differently if he had any other photo.

OTT? In what way? Of course it's not OTT to consider this is the face of a demon not a true human being because only someone possessed could do something like kill 3 girls for no reason and then say he is glad they're dead.

I hope he never gets parole. I don't care that his parents were refugees, I mean I care about them, I feel for them but it excuses nothing he did. Those poor parents of his must wonder where they went wrong, they did all they could to seek help for him. Myra Hindley's father was allegedly known to be abusive and even he said on finding out what his daughter has done said "we've raised a monster." I don't normally feel sympathy for parents who hit their kids, but I could sense the horror he must have been feeling. To know you raised a child who is evil. ..

I don't support the death penalty I just hope they never let him free. I hope they get a priest to exorcise him or something, there is something not human in those eyes.

I feel very sad when I see his photo, for the families and loved ones who are suffering terribly

i believe this could have been prevented, that isn’t to take away blame from him but so many red flags were overlooked, mh services are so disjointed at times and so underfunded

I do not believe people are evil, it takes away responsibility from them.

And I don’t believe his photo gives you an indication to him as a person, it’s a snap in a moment of time that given other circumstances you would read differently, most likely someone who is mentally unwell

How am excusing him I have clearly stated though I feel this could have been prevented but it didn’t take away any blame from him

this could be said about a number of serious crimes that happen where mh services have not been efficient enough, mostly down to lack of trained and experienced staff which comes from a lack of funding

I don’t believe in evil, it’s a religious concept that makes it easier for us to believe we are safe as it’s evil people that commit such terrible crimes. That the nice people we know just simply couldn’t be so cruel but that sadly too often isn’t true
