Unfortunately it can't be claimed that misogyny is only on mumsnet because that is bloody everywhere.

My boss actually said he was 'getting his ducks in a row' with regards work, fortunately we were on a teams call and on mute so he couldn't hear my snort of laughter.

Not mentioned so much these days but Pom bears and the MN bat.

MN is a repository of some quite early Internet stuff and abbreviatuons that used to be everywhere you don't see as much elsewhere any more, like TBH for example.

I think AIBU is a genuine original MN coinage. I've been on here for 20 years so i remember when AIBU as a board didn't exist and the Active list used to contain thread titles ' Am I being unreasonable number 5822...'

I hear mansplaining far more elsewhere, usually misused. MN is one of the few places I sometimes see it used correctly, I guess because there are still quite a lot of MNers who've read Rebecca Solnit.
