Anyone else still up at silly oclock?

Just finished building a stupid trike and wrapped the last of the presents. I'm not doing dinner but my contributions dishes are sorted.

Just now got to clean up and ive ran out of steam.

Say it every year but I really need to be better organised. I normally like wrapping presents on Xmas eve when kids are in bed but I'm getting too old for this 🤦‍♀️

Happy Christmas everyone and to all of those working so hard to make it special for everyone else, and my prayers to those that have lost loved ones.

i am awake with the menopause, and my throat is on fire and my dog is at the end of the bed as we lost our other.darling dog. We went to a family party last night with in laws, and I haven’t relaxed since.

Feeling sad with bereavements ( lost a young family member last week)

My mother who has been giving me the silent treatment for nearly six.months has sent me some texts. It’s given me anxiety. She stopped talking to me because she called me awful names and apparently doesn’t know why. Trying to get my tears out of the way now before my children.wake.up. I can’t let this impact them. I’m looking forward to getting some more sleep.

Went to bed at 10pm, awake 3 hours later, and still wide eyed 👀.

Ate too much too, can still taste the wine in my throat.
Would throw up to ease the discomfort but I'm too greedy and won't let good wine go to waste.

I'm still up cooking Turkey, be done in half an hour. Shame i pierced a hole in the throw away roasting tin an hour ago.......

I'm sure the immunocompromised guest made their own decision on whether to attend.

Sorry for those with bereavement and illnesses.
Hope tomorrow/today turns out well for all.

DD4 woke up at 3am and excitedly came in to our room to declare that Santa has been, brought the stocking in and now she’s wriggling around too excited to go back to sleep!

I was up late finishing wrapping the last of Christmas presents, slept for an hour for my toddler to be screaming for daddy only. They’re both sound asleep together and I can’t get back to sleep so watching The Holiday. Going to be shattered in the morning haha.

Got to sleep around half 12 when the baby (4 months old) wouldn't go to sleep despite being up since 6.

Then other half started having a coughing fit.

Baby woke up again at 3 with wind got him back for sleep. Husband had another coughing fit and almost signed his death warent as I've had bad sleep for the last 2 days...

I always wake up so early on Christmas morning, too excited 🤣 plus I've got awful back pain at the moment which inevitably wakes me up in the early hours 😩😅 hope everyone has a fantastic day today!

DS was awake at 2am unwrapping his stocking that I had only put there an hour before...
He's now wide awake still and we've given up.

I've got his dad arriving in 3 hours and then my family coming for lunch at 12. Going to be a long day! Merry Christmas everyone!

so nice to have company. I’m up with 8 yr dd with a temp of 39.6. Waiting for magic time I can give more nurofen as paracetomal does nothing. Fairly sure it’s a chest infection. I’ve persuaded her we need to stay upstairs as Santa must be coming soon. She has been having fever dreams
about me and her brother being zombies 🤦‍♀️he will wake at 6 full of beans. I will need so much coffee!!

Oh dear @dancinginthedark123 . I do hope that she feels better soon, it's grim all round when they're ill at Christmas. I still remember they ear infection Christmas Eve with a shudder.
I am wide awake and I don't even need to be up early this year to get the oven on as I'm not hosting. The only thing that's cooking is me; blasted menopause and associated hot sweats 😥

I'm hoping all you lovely ladies are in the land on nod now.

My husband has woken me up coughing and spluttering & I'm 31 weeks pregnant and baby boy is kicking the shit out of me 🤣hoping to read threads on here then get sleepy again

11 pm - struggling to stay awake.
Midnight - stockings etc done, wide awake.
Just now - woken by DS voice. Thought he was sleep talking but then heard him do a silly voice and realised he was downstairs.
Went down and read the riot act. DD had left her stocking but ran upstairs into DS room. Get back to your own bed I practically yell.
DS had hidden his behind the living room door.
I confiscated his and am back in bed listening for child noises.

I wouldn't mind them sneaking their actual stockings quietly but I'm worried they'll just open all the presents. DS has ADHD and no impulse control.
They are normally v good sleepers and this is the first year they've both been firmly non believers in FC. So I'm not sure why!
DS even said "Santa isn't real" loudly at church behind a 7 year old girl!

I was on the thread at 1am ish and still haven't slept you know the dozy, head buzzing sleep, I may have had a 40 minute bit in there.

I suspect it's steroids I'm on keeping me awake.

I learnt years ago, get up walk around read and try again.

So fingers crossed reading all your lovely posts helps, I don't envy your toddlers who are already awake. 😁 that's going to one very long day.

The heady combo of grieving and the menopause has led my brain and body to decide to start the day at 4am. I've done all the NYT quizzes and am now pinned down on the sofa by a sleeping dog. Ah well. Perfect excuse to conk out after a wine-fuelled lunch later today. Merry Christmas one and all!

This is making me very emosh at this sleepless hour.. I use the Flight Radar app daily, yet never realized they created a live Santa flight 🥺.

I finished wrapping about half 12. Went for a shower. Just as I’m getting ready for bed my toddler wakes up. So now I’m still awake!!! She is having split nights at the moment and I’m so so tired!!!

Went to bed feeling shivery with aches all over and a rubbish cough. Now awake again with a high temperature. It's not the Christmas I was hoping for, but at least the kids are over the worst.
