I think the blue bedroom is really lovely actually.

Same. I could quite happily live with that.

It looks immaculately clean. It's not my style, but I love that the person who lives there has done it completely in accordance with their taste. Good on them!

WickieRoy · 23/08/2024 19:42

I know I'm not with the majority on this one, but I think it's really meanspirited to post someone's actual house to encourage others to slag off their decor. I'd be gutted if someone did that with my house.

They have decorated their house the way they like it, and fair play to them. Nice to see something other than a navy kitchen with white worktops and brass handles. Good luck to them.

As for the thinly disguised racism snide posts about tarmac...

Mumandcarer80 · 23/08/2024 19:42

It's a bit umm busy would give me a headache. Doesn't need much doing to it though just redecorating.

Couldn't agree more.

The gramophone in the dining room, complete with crank handle 😍.

I so hope they're moving somewhere with the scale their taste requires!

Cherrysoup · 23/08/2024 19:46

Good lord, that’s a vision! 😝

TheAlchemy · 23/08/2024 19:47

What a find. Incredible 😂

AInightingale · 23/08/2024 19:48

I mean, if you took the daft ornaments off everything (they'd be taking them and their furnishings anyway) and the excessive swagginess, it would actually be quite a nice house. Some beautiful paint colours.

TypingoftheDead · 23/08/2024 19:48

I don’t love the kitchen (I’d be disoriented with that amount of reflective surfaces of the same colour), bathroom a bit iffy for similar reasons but I love the rest of the house and garden.

henlake7 · 23/08/2024 19:49

Omg! Well, it has personality (the personality of a drunken drag queen!).

I love it!😍

WeddingConundrum123 · 23/08/2024 19:49

I mean ... they picked and style and they committed. Hard.

user1471538275 · 23/08/2024 19:50

I think it's a nice house.

It's cluttered with lots of things that will be taken away with the owners, but I think the bones of it are good.

I could live with it - no idea if it's 'value for money' in the area though.

I genuinely like the blue bedroom.

arapunzel · 23/08/2024 19:50

Classic.

I live in the city, and currently house hunting, and this gem came up. DH wasn’t keen 😂

SlightlyJaded · 23/08/2024 18:22

The 'Urn / Shisha' thing balanced on the bath though. Do you think it dispenses Badedas?

Its a chocolate fountain.

Bunnycat101 · 23/08/2024 19:51

I looked but then felt really bad that I did. It does feel a bit mean and there could well be someone who finds there house on here being slagged off.

WiddlinDiddlin · 23/08/2024 19:52

I've seen a lot of traveller houses like this, but equally, I've seen a lot of non-traveller houses like this too so I don't think it's really fair to decide its definitely that.

I have to say, I prefer it to the bland 'everything grey/mirrored/silver' trend of recent years!

My mates back garden is the floral exterior equivalent to this house, he says it's genetic though, the Romany genes scream 'more! more colour! more luxury'... and his wife won't let it in the house, so its all flowers and garden ornaments for him (he has the most amazing bird table with lead roses and ivy all over it!).

Newsenmum · 23/08/2024 19:53

The garden is a bit disappointing

Pretty standard for that area of Portsmouth.

It's a nice area near some lovely green spaces and costal walks.

Pretty good size for a semi in the city too.

Perfect for an Outdoor-Indoor Luxury Barbeque with Finger Buffet. ("It's Bouquet".)

Gettingbysomehow · 23/08/2024 18:10

Good God. I found laugh and love but not live.

Same here, I even went back over the photographs like they were a tacky version of Where's Wally, but just couldn't find the 'live" 😂

Sidebeforeself · 23/08/2024 19:59

I like the gold sink! But the rest of it ( revealing my inner snob here) makes me think of those people who dash from restaurants without paying for their meals

Woodenwonder · 23/08/2024 19:59

So MN to rip the p*ss out of somebody elses choices that make them feel 'home'.

A lot of the snide remarks will be coming from people who have never and will never own a single brick of their own house in their entire lives.

Springadorable · 23/08/2024 20:02

They could've tried harder with the garden.
