DH has gone out, it was planned. He asked if I minded him going. DC don't knowl and are doing own things. I messaged a friend to suggest a chat but she isn't picking up. I had told her today was diagnoses day but she's forgotten. We all have busy lives. I'm not going to tell friends over a message. Im purposely not googling it. I feel helpless waiting for the next hospital appt. Waiting to find out more.

So sorry to hear this, especially as you seem to have no one to talk to tonight. Please don't do the Google thing, it won't help. Could you watch something like Downton or Sanditon? It's candy floss for the brain, but probably what you need right now.

Maybe put the radio on and listen to something that will distract you?

What kind of shows do you like to binge on? If you have Prime I can suggest a few. I don't have Netflix currently, but some of the shows might be on there as well.

So sorry you're going through this. Do you have a treatment plan in place yet or an idea of one? My DP had a diagnosis a few years ago and my only advice based on watching him go through it is to do whatever you need to do to process in the coming days – cry, scream, get drunk, clean the house from top to bottom (he did that!). For mindless tuning out, I can heartily recommend Selling Sunset on Netflix. Immensely watchable fluffy nonsense.

I’m so sorry you have this news. I have been through this myself, send a hug and hold your hand. Be kind to yourself as if you were a child, just do what you like doing and treat yourself. I did.
I enjoyed Bridgerton, nonsense really and I love 1940s black and white films.
im currently watching Love Island, so trashy, my daughter got me into it, but you don’t want anything too heavy at the moment.

Sending hugs OP. A cancer diagnosis is such a shock. Have you been given a treatment plan? The waiting is definitely the hardest, especially if you're not sure what's going to happen next. Do you read? I found re-reading my favourite light, and not too taxing, books helped to take my mind off it. Whatever you do, do not Google.

I am very knowledgeable regarding most cancers (scientist) if you want to talk. If not, I would actually recommend High Country on BBC and Fisk on Netlfix - very funny that one.
