Have you been to a place no one else has been to? AGAIN!

Hi

Someone mentioned enjoying this thread so I thought I'd do another one. IIRC you had to post three places and other MNers said if they'd been there. If they hadn't, you won my undying respect.

No impossible places like the inside of a nuclear reactor this time. As small as a pub, as big as a country.

I'll start:

Tikal, Guatemala
Alice Springs, Australia (easy one!)
Jinja, Uganda

GO!

Broome (Western Aus)

Haven't been to anywhere already mentioned.

Simonjt · 23/07/2024 14:04

I was born in Gilgit-Baltistan, not many people go there on tours etc.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/07/2024 14:12

Mont St Michel I have but none of the others.

I think @Simonjt you were on the last thread!

And Matatiele across the border in South Africa.

Bjorkdidit · 23/07/2024 14:21

The top of our local TV transmitter
On an oil rig
In the private quarters of a royal household

I've also stood on top of many nuclear reactors, but that doesn't count apparently.

East Berlin is interesting. If somewhere doesn't exist anymore, does it count? Hmmmmmmm, don't know; I'll leave it to the group.

I have been to Jinja, sorry. I passed through on my way to Bujagali Falls, which I went over on a raft and was one of the most terrifying things I have ever done!

I offer:

  1. A night in a hammock at Calakmul.
  2. The British House at the Olympics (there is one at every Olympics, but the one I went to was in Rio.)
  3. On the top of the Pont du Gard.
TeenToTwenties · 23/07/2024 14:38

@FoleyHuck I have been to the Ecrehous but not Les Minquiers.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/07/2024 14:40

I've realised two things:

I want to be friends with you all Grin
My bucket list is too long
