I go to see comedians a lot. Big names and small names. I can't be arsed listing them all but I've listed some notable ones
🩷🩷🩷Dave Allen - years ago, he was brilliant and memorable
🩷🩷Harry Enfield - brilliant ( a while ago now 😅)
🩷🩷Tom Allen - brilliant, one of my favourites
🩷🩷Micheal Macintyre - very clever, word perfect.
🩷Paul Sinner - love him
🩷🩷Chris Kent - Irish guy who is brilliant. Funny with a fantastic accent
🩷Al Murray - brilliant but a bit one trick pony if you see him too often
🩷Alan Carr - really good
🩷Alex Horne - brilliant ( with his band)
Julian Clarey - funny
Russel Howard - ok
Dawn French - better than expected
Jo Brand - good. (Seeing her next week 😅)
Phil Wang - good but not great
Mark Watson - ok but a bit annoying
👎🏻Isy Suttie - embarrassingly awful. I almost felt sorry for her, luckily a guy fell asleep in the front row so that kept us amused
🩷Robert White - I love him. Better with the right crowd.
Russel Kane - ok but not my favourite
Jenny Eclair - enjoyable. She was funny
Bill Bailey - bit disappointing
Harry Hill - bit disappointing
Henning Wenn - bit disappointing
Gary Delaney - really awful. He was scraping the barrel He read out 'funny' (they really weren't) Amazon reviews for ages. How unoriginal.
Alfie Moore - gentle but funny
Milton Jones wasn't as good as I'd have hoped,
Reginald D Hunter x also not as good as I'd hoped
I go to a lot of comedy evenings and have seen some great people and some who were just awful.
I like smaller venues where the comedians interact with the crowd. I also really enjoy 'work in progress' shows. Our local comedy nights are only £10 or so. It's great value.
I haven't seen James Lancaster. I got ticket but gave them to my son and his gf as they are huge fans. I'll try again when he next tours near us.
Chris Kent is worth looking out for.
Forgot to say I saw Frankie Boyle - I saw him in court though. 😂😂😂 He was extremely clever and articulate but I really dislike him.
