Billy Connolly in the early 70s — still got the programme somewhere.
Milton Jones several times.
Gary Delaney. Chatted to my friend and me before he went on.

JackJarvisEsq · 08/07/2024 17:33

Being in Glasgow I’ve seen so many because of the tv studios but the one I’m most happy to have seen is Billy Connolly

KreedKafer · 08/07/2024 17:35

Ones I've paid to see:

Stewart Lee, Simon Munnery, Bill Bailey, Rhys Darby, Rob Brydon, Mark Watson, Dave Gorman, Frank Sidebottom, David Sedaris (if he counts as a comedian), Mark Steel

Ones I've seen free (I used to work in entertainment PR so saw a lot of stuff for free):

Julian Clary, John Thompson, Sean Locke, Jo Brand, the Comedy Store Players, Lee Mack, Jenny Eclair, Ian Stone, loads and loads of non-famous circuit comics whose names I can't remember

DH saw Billy Connolly - when he was in the Humblebums and DH was waiting for the band to start and couldnt understand why Billy Connolly was talking for so long and everyone was laughing, DH wasnt even listening in the beginning.

he went to see him again and unfortunately he was heckled and so walked off!

TrustPenguins · 08/07/2024 17:42

Rik Mayall (the best)
Harry Hill (meh)
Dara O Briain (crap, fell asleep)

John Bishop (pretty good)
Al Murray (excellent)

Have had tickets to see Michael MacIntyre twice and been unable to go - still hope to see him at some point.

PollyannaWhittier · 08/07/2024 18:06

Miranda Hart, if you can call her a comedian (not my sort of thing at all, I got dragged by my flat mate)

Stewart Lee (several times but have gone off him recently)
Mark Thomas (several times)
Omid Djali
Julian Clary back when he was The Joan Collins Fan Club and Fanny the Wonder Dog

Also Rhod Gilbert and Rob Brydon

TheGhostILoveTheMost · 08/07/2024 18:11

So very grateful I got to see my absolute favourite comedian of all time.
The legendary Sean Lock R.I.P.

Not trying to be facetious, just an observation on here and other threads I've seen on Reddit.
Why do so many people miss spell Sean Lock's name? Not a pedant just curious 🤔

DinnaeFashYersel · 08/07/2024 18:21

Billy Connelly and Peter Kay in big venues

And then dozens in the Edinburgh Fringe. Can't remember them all but most of the famous British comedians of the last 30 years.
