Climate change and the environment, I literally find them the most boring subjects in the world. I'm not a climate change denier, I'll do what I can but I'm just nor interested.

Plumbing! A friend has had a new bathroom installed and sadly has had issues with the plumbing ever since. She keeps explaining it to me in great detail but I'm afraid I can't work up any enthusiasm 😖

Plant names & soil types. . . most of my family are keen gardeners. They keep wandering around my garden, questioning me about my plants, using the Latin names, querying whether I am growing things in the correct soil etc etc. I find this exceptionally tedious . . . .

40andprettybored · 16/06/2024 22:36

I'm with you on anything climate / sustainability based. I will do as I'm told eg I recycle but other than that I've nothing to add.

TeaKitten · 16/06/2024 22:42

Politics, I no it’s important but it’s boring.

Cooking, I’m crap at it and im a single parent of 2, I should be interested because it’s something I have to do every bloody day. But it’s boring, takes ages and then I have to clean the kitchen. Cooking sucks

LunaNorth · 16/06/2024 22:42

Wildlife documentaries.
Women’s football.

stayathomer · 16/06/2024 22:43

Bridgerton, gin, coffee, most books charting in bookstores

stayathomer · 16/06/2024 22:43

TeaKitten
I feel the same about cooking. Hate it

TobiasForgesContactLense · 16/06/2024 22:45

In theory I am just the sort of dull, middle aged woman who should like gardening and listening to Radio 4. I would quite like to be interested in them but I just am not.

betterangels · 16/06/2024 22:46

Prepping. The government where I am has sent out a list. I don't have the money, the space or the headspace to think about canned goods, water bottles, and battery-driven radios. If Russia comes after us, I'll be done for anyway. Might as well just come to terms.

D3LAN3Y · 16/06/2024 22:46

Cooking, alcohol, family drama, school gate politics and politics in general, other people's babies.

incessantpunditry · 16/06/2024 22:46

Politics & current affairs tv programmes. I can barely tolerate the stuff on the news, let alone a whole uninterrupted hour of it.

Jennyjojo5 · 16/06/2024 22:46

books and friends kids

PitterPatter3 · 16/06/2024 22:47

Politics
The news

I have to really force myself to keep up with both of them.

Blankscreen · 16/06/2024 22:47

Football at any level, be it England or my son's team. Just so boring.

familyissues12345 · 16/06/2024 22:51

Politics

I'm just so rubbish with it and switch off which is really embarrassing as my 15 year old is really into it! I need to try and start understanding it a bit better

Alicewinn · 16/06/2024 22:54

Directions, slip roads opening and closing on the motorway. Any conversation that is dry without humour or feelings

Cattenberg · 16/06/2024 22:55

This is such a good answer . . . I completely agree

HcbSS · 16/06/2024 22:57

Netflix (most tv tbh, just not my way to relax)
Politics
Other peoples engagements/weddings/babies

StripedPiggy · 16/06/2024 22:57

Israel / Palestine.

Religious fanatics in that part of the world have bern killing each other for centuries. It’s just what they do. Something to do with high unemployment & too much sun, or whatever. And I have been completely bored of hearing about it for decades.

The situation is not our problem to solve. Our strategic interests are not at stake. So we should keep selling arms to both sides, which benefits Britain, but otherwise leave them to it & let them get on with it. After all, a few less religious fanatics in the world can’t be a bad thing, can it?

manc44 · 16/06/2024 22:59

Politics- doesn't matter who's in my life won't change so I don't care.
Same with who's the American president, literally makes no difference to my day to day life so don't understand why people care.
