Climate change and the environment, I literally find them the most boring subjects in the world. I'm not a climate change denier, I'll do what I can but I'm just nor interested.

OP posts:
Fuckem · 17/06/2024 02:39

Who wins the election. It won’t make much difference to my life whoever wins so I’m not really interested.

Ereyraa · 17/06/2024 02:52

Ukraine
Middle East
Football -especially women’s football
Rugby (I live in Twickenham the ‘home ‘ of rugby)
Brexit
Netflix

Oh yes, women’s football 💯

MariaVT65 · 17/06/2024 03:25

I’m on mat leave and i’ll say baby groups. They seem to be suggested as a solution to everything. ‘Oh you’re exhausted from having no sleep and being touched out - go to a baby group’. They are fucking boring as fuck.

Taylor Swift

Recycling. If something is clean and dry, no problem. If it needs rinsing, i’m not increasing my water bill and wasting water.

Football

After being forced to stay at home during lockdown, I give much less of a fuck about other people, except for my loved ones.

decionsdecisions62 · 17/06/2024 05:08

New work colleague was telling everyone about her wedding plans in great detail. I couldn't hide my disinterest. I mean I don't know her, I don't know her family or friends and I don't really give a shit how, when and where she wants to have her second wedding.

Listening to people talk about their trips especially up mountains and walking holidays. What an absolute bore.

Hairdresser talk. It's generally mundane and I just wish I could sit in silence and think.

PurpleWhiteGreen123 · 17/06/2024 05:32

Any reality tv shows.
Fashion.
Make-up.
Dr Who.
That footy tournament on the telly right now.
The Election.

Bewareofthisonetoo · 17/06/2024 05:49

People’s holiday photos
And you can’t avoid them now they are their phones

Beanieton · 17/06/2024 05:50

StripedPiggy · 16/06/2024 22:57

Israel / Palestine.

Religious fanatics in that part of the world have bern killing each other for centuries. It’s just what they do. Something to do with high unemployment & too much sun, or whatever. And I have been completely bored of hearing about it for decades.

The situation is not our problem to solve. Our strategic interests are not at stake. So we should keep selling arms to both sides, which benefits Britain, but otherwise leave them to it & let them get on with it. After all, a few less religious fanatics in the world can’t be a bad thing, can it?

Oh wow! Your ignorance is unbelievable. It has everything to do with us. How the fuck do you think the state of Israel was created in the first place?

Honestly, I wonder why the world is in such a mess and then I read posts like this. Ignorance everywhere.

hattie43 · 17/06/2024 06:00

Climate change / global warming.

KohlaParasaurus · 17/06/2024 06:01

Politics at a local level in which I could become actively involved. I should, I have time and I'm quite competent, but I can't get interested.

Car and bicycle maintenance.

Computer coding.

stronglatte · 17/06/2024 06:01

Football.
Ted Lasso. I said what I said.
Wimbledon (see football)
Holiday photos - just choose one
How busy you are - it's become a status symbol

Crushed23 · 17/06/2024 06:02

The things men my age talk about (I’m OLD and have to suffer this on dates).

It’s just the most unspeakably boring shit 95% of the time.

SharonEllis · 17/06/2024 06:03

Other people's dogs.

Soñando25 · 17/06/2024 06:12

Another one for cooking. Just hate it.
Clothes shopping.
Talking about celebrities.

itschemical · 17/06/2024 06:17

*Royal family.
*Chem trails.
*Any sport.
*Hearing about other people's kids.
*People whining about their 'first world problems'- get an actual problem. I say this because I had someone the other day, completely able bodied, not working because they don't need to, having an actual full on meltdown because her cleaner called in sick......... I was lost for words. I did suggest she tried cleaning herself but that was an 'absolutely not' response.
*Impending nuclear war
*celebrities

BitOutOfPractice · 17/06/2024 06:26

Electricity. Honestly my dp tries to explain it all the time. All I hear is blah blah amps…drone drone volts… I can feel my soul dying.

military history (I’m a historian!)

Rugby

Formula 1 - if I wanted to hear people talk about tyres for hours, I’d pop to kwikfit. But I don’t.

JawJaw · 17/06/2024 06:36

@BitOutOfPractice your DH tries to explain electricity to you all the time? That sounds far worse than boring, it’s downright odd.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 17/06/2024 06:39

I don't think I should be interested in these things, but people talk about them a lot so I feel like I'm an outlier 😂 :

Sport (of any kind. Yes, even if England are playing)
Rain/rainy weather
Alcohol/drinking/being drunk/your hangover

JawJaw · 17/06/2024 06:41

@Beanieton the situation in Israel is not our problem to solve? It is our problem though. The British created it. Not even centuries ago, during your parents’ lifetime (maybe even your lifetime!).

piscofrisco · 17/06/2024 06:43

The debate about self ID/trans issues/womens only spaces. I just don't see it as a big deal. I know there are certain circumstances where it is, but it's been blown out of all proportion by all sides involved.

CharnwoodFire · 17/06/2024 06:52

American politics, sport or culture - it's all dreadful/boring because it's only about making money

BringMeSunshineAllDayLong · 17/06/2024 06:52

Celebrities that aren't talented.
The Royal Family (MIL loves them. So dull to talk about).
How to make things like the TV/WiFi/100 different wires and fire sticks work. I try to learn but zone out every time then just have to shout at the remote until a teenager comes and sorts it out.

JawJaw · 17/06/2024 07:00

@Beanieton it’s extraordinary that you seem to believe that the Middle East and the people who live there can be dismissed because there is so much fighting there. Are you aware that a large proportion of the world believe that EUROPE is where the endless fighting takes place. Far from being peaceful people, the Europeans ( especially the British) are constantly either directly at war or involved in a war some way eg. by supplying weapons. WE are seen as aggressive people. Of course we are not all like that. I am sure you are not. And neither are 90% of people in the Middle East.

BeckyWithTheGoodHair010101 · 17/06/2024 07:23

Other people's "mental health" issues caused by the fact that they don't seem able to cope with life in general.

Israel / Palestine (not sure who is right or wrong, have tried to research but still none the wiser)

Other people's children

Climate change / sustainability

Every time Putin sends a nuclear threat. Bore off mate.

Riapia · 17/06/2024 07:30

Other people.
I have no interest in their hobbies, holidays, children, or illnesses.

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 17/06/2024 07:39
