Things you should be interested in but aren't

Climate change and the environment, I literally find them the most boring subjects in the world. I'm not a climate change denier, I'll do what I can but I'm just nor interested.

Pensions..makes me feel stressed
politics
climate change

Just most serious things as I don’t feel I have the headspace for it and it all makes me anxious these days
Oh and space…Dh is always banging on about it and I really couldn’t give a crap 🤷🏻‍♀️

Israel / Palestine.

Religious fanatics in that part of the world have bern killing each other for centuries. It’s just what they do. Something to do with high unemployment & too much sun, or whatever. And I have been completely bored of hearing about it for decades.

The situation is not our problem to solve. Our strategic interests are not at stake. So we should keep selling arms to both sides, which benefits Britain, but otherwise leave them to it & let them get on with it. After all, a few less religious fanatics in the world can’t be a bad thing, can it?

If someone asked me what I thought of this, I'd have to say haven't a clue. No idea who the baddie is 🤷‍♀️ Wasn't life great before social media told everyone what to think

Miloandfreddy · 16/06/2024 23:14

Another one for women's football. As a woman I should be championing it but not interested in the slightest. I actually hate it when the women pundits come on too.

Prepping. The government where I am has sent out a list. I don't have the money, the space or the headspace to think about canned goods, water bottles, and battery-driven radios. If Russia comes after us, I'll be done for anyway. Might as well just come to terms.

What?! Where do you live?

TheChosenTwo · 16/06/2024 23:19

Celebrity/celebrity culture. Not that I really think I should be interested in it, in fact I think the sooner more people become uninterested in it the better!

betterangels · 16/06/2024 23:21

JawJaw · 16/06/2024 23:14

What?! Where do you live?

Denmark. They're on about hybrid war etc. And, apparently, Sweden is ahead of us in prepping. I don't care. The government does. The defence ministry held a press conference and everything. We'll end up with covid-era panic buying.

Fashion. As in the latest fashions. It's just brainwashing to make people spend more. I can't be arsed.and have no interest in it.

StarDolphins · 16/06/2024 23:45

Other peoples kids. I just don’t care. Unless it’s my kid or a close friends, just no.

Other peoples dogs, yes. I’m right there..ahh, is he friendly? how old is he, what breed?!

IsabelleHuppert · 16/06/2024 23:45

Friendofdennis · 16/06/2024 22:40

war
sport
housework
other people’s children and grandchildren
other people’s holidays
the intense political views of young people
fashion

But who is making you think you should be interested in any of these things? Sport is only important to those who are interested in it, like macramé, or LARPing. No one is interested in housework, or other people’s holidays. Who is ‘interested’ in war?

Trickofthetrade · 16/06/2024 23:56

Facebook , football and bitching about people.

Slebs and their opinions. I'm really not interested in knowing what Stephen Fry thinks about <insert topic>.

“Today on The One Show, our guests are Alan Titchmarsh, Paloma Faith and Lucy Worsley. We’ll be discussing the future of Royal Mail and some unusual savoury ice-cream flavours”.

The Middle East

Paninaro94 · 17/06/2024 02:25

Other people’s kids and grandkids. It is literally all some people talk about. I don’t mind someone telling me what their children are up to these days or finding out that little Tommy has started school now or whatever but in-depth, detailed accounts of the latest funny thing they did or their latest achievement is just boring. What have YOU been up to? That is much more interesting

Bewareofthisonetoo · 17/06/2024 02:30
