Anyone else loving the weather?

I'm so enjoying the cooler than normal weather. I can spend more time in the garden without getting hot and sweaty. Love sleeping in a cool bed. Can go for nice long walks. Less noise from neighbours. Win. Win.

Because I prefer being cosy and snug under a blanket in my toasty jumper than I do sweating under the blazing sun 😂

Bingo!

Food prices will rocket - I'm sure you won't mind paying higher prices for your food

Whether I mind or not isn't the point. I have no control over the weather and I've no control over what happens to prices, I'll just have to pay them.

Bournetilly · 11/06/2024 20:45

I love it! Hopefully it continues.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 11/06/2024 20:45

I’m loving these cooler days, perfect for me.

Bingo!

I think it's just possible that that poster is winding the summer lovers up the teensiest bit - knowing how much they detest references to 'snuggling' and 'cosy.'

DappledThings · 11/06/2024 20:48

Yep, I like it. My favourite clothes are jeans and jumpers and I love that I can wear them for longer. And I've not yet had to stress about suncream on DC at school.

Bit sad for DH though as his cricket season is already affected.

I'd be happy with a bit of a longer drier spell but the temperature staying low is fine by me.

Riversideandrelax · 11/06/2024 20:48

I thought you meant the hot, sunny weather. I've been enjoying that over the last few days. Hope it carries on!

Please come back sunshine and warmth 🙏

Why on earth does anyone want to fester under a blanket when they could enjoy an ambient temperature which would mean a blanket wouldn't be required? Confused

KickItInTheTallGrass · 11/06/2024 20:51

Yes me. Perfect summer!
Lovely cold bed to get into, no sweating, no sunburn. It’s like March.

Where?

Riversideandrelax · 11/06/2024 20:52

I can't believe people still have the heating on and wearing jumpers in June! How cold is it where you are??

JamSandle · 11/06/2024 20:52

I wouldn't mind this weather in autumn/winter but I don't like it for summer.

Riversideandrelax · 11/06/2024 20:52

RampantIvy · 11/06/2024 20:51

Where?

South East 🌞

Ilovebees · 11/06/2024 20:53

I love hot weather on weekends only but in the week I hate it when I’m stuck at work and sweating .

ArcticBells · 11/06/2024 20:54

Yes, loving the cool summer temperature. I don't like the heat or summer clothes. Perfect for me.

VintageBrass · 11/06/2024 20:54

I'm astonished people have their heating on. Where are you?

12 degrees, cloud and rain. Currently 11 degrees.

ArcticBells · 11/06/2024 20:55

I only have the bathroom towel rail on low as hate a damp towel

katebushh · 11/06/2024 20:55

I'm enjoying it cos I'm too fat for my summer clothes at the moment.

PickledMumion · 11/06/2024 20:55

I'm with you- a heatwave close to the solstice is horrible. My ideal would be cloudy but dry at this time of year (when there's the highest risk of burning) 20-22 degrees, and then getting sunnier later in the season. A glorious September is hard to beat.

(The rain last summer was something else, though. Even I would take 30+ degrees, lying sweating on top of the sheets, over another summer like that)

Corinthiana · 11/06/2024 20:55

I like it, but then I don't enjoy the heat. It's not cold where I am, about 14°c, up to 16°c tomorrow. Mild and pleasant. I can still go for walks, do the garden etc. it's been raining on and off but not too heavy.
I love how everything is so lush and green!
I do like spring and autumn, not too hot or cold.

DrCoconut · 11/06/2024 20:56

No one in their right mind would be spending time in the garden here. It's lashing with rain again and too cold to do much. I have the heating on. It's utterly miserable and I need some warmth now.

Why wouldn't people have the heating and jumpers on? It's pissing it down here most days and the highest temperature were getting is 15-16 degrees. Some days it's barely making it above 10 degrees and that's before you take into consideration the wind. If it were winter no one would be questioning the need for jumpers or heating.

This weather is beyond shite. I'm sick of wearing boots, my winter coat and getting soaked.

C0untBinFace · 11/06/2024 20:57

I like it as I hate the heat and I’m menopausal so it’s more comfortable
