Let's hope the CCTV / sighting in town gives a glimmer of home that he made the walk from the beach to town ok.

They won’t release images of a random lookalike, but I’d be interested to see it too! You’d think that chap would’ve come forward by now.

They are searching all routes and have divers. It doesn’t take 3 days to search along a 2 mile path.

I think blue top and shorts with baseball cap are very common casual wear among men!

I wouldn't be surprised if there are dozens dressed very similarly on the island.

He's certainly striding in that video, doesn't look like he's tired or struggling in any way.

That's not the 4.30pm image, that's the 1.50pm one.

This is so odd, and am I right in thinking it makes makes the 'possibly fallen into the sea' theory much less likely if he made it to the town? Where on earth is he?

If his friends' villa is in the main harbour town (which is Symi) then it's hard to see how he could have a treacherous path through town. Unless there's shortcut and they're on the edge of town near the coast.

The footage that hasn’t been released (but some media claim to have seen). Is the 4.30pm footage with a woman. The wife has said it’s not him. They can’t really release footage if she has said it’s not him.

Yep. He got safely to Pedi and the walk from there is not coastal as I understand it.

oh well i was following talk about the Sun's report, now the BBC has the same, i tend to go with BBC in preference.

Presumbly they've ruled out something like him spilling a drink over himself and buying a replacement pair of shorts? They woldn't be difficult to buy in a holiday resort

I wonder if they’ve searched around the villa area? He could’ve actually made it back but then had a medical episode.

Hope he is found soon. Locals are saying that he could have been bitten by a snake. If that’s the case, it won’t matter what age or dietary regime someone follows.

This is all very odd. I wonder if he’s disappeared on purpose?
