they don't have a manifesto, they don't have any plans

But neither party have published their manifesto’s yet, they won’t for another week or so.

Sunak clearly wiping the floor with weak Starmer in this debate

I definitely don’t agree with this at all?!?!!

Starmer sounds quite good on the boats!

I fear Starmer is following ‘good’ etiquette by not shouting over Sunak and interrupting, but this is making it look like he hasn’t got an answer.

Even when he has the space to speak he just spouts a word salad.

changeison · 04/06/2024 21:42

Starmer hasn't prepared for this debate, just awful and embarrassing

Cherryade06 · 04/06/2024 21:42

Can’t bear either of them - started watching this to see what Labour could actually be offering and I’m yet to hear Starmer actually give a comprehensive response on anything he’s going to do. Likening the decision on who to vote for to choosing a leg to amputate…

QuickDraining · 04/06/2024 21:43

43 minutes and nothing yet said.

DizzyDandilion · 04/06/2024 21:44

Sunak just an interrupting prick...
I agree, Starmer too polite...

BringMeSunshineAllDayLong · 04/06/2024 21:44

God Sunak is annoying.

LaurieFairyCake · 04/06/2024 21:45

People in the audience are literally shouting Shame at Sunak for saying he'd ignore international courts !

He's such an evil shit bag

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 04/06/2024 21:45

Sunak getting a bit tetchy; not a good look

QuickDraining · 04/06/2024 21:45

They need at least 5 minutes on each subject. And just get about 10 seconds. So you never get any meaningful response.

He probably has it’s just how he is

countrygirl99 · 04/06/2024 21:46

Sunak is still going on please ignore what I've actually done

DizzyDandilion · 04/06/2024 21:46

I prefer polite.
I just find myself shouting shut up every time Sunak speaks...

lightsandtunnels · 04/06/2024 21:46

I think we need a change but Starmer is not the man for the job. I don't think many people trust him or think he's up to the job - I know I don't! And this tonight hasn't helped him. I want to wait to read the manifesto too. It's going to be tricky, like the pps have said, which leg to amputate but if I had to vote for either of them today it would be Sunak.

This is annoying though

Too fast

QuickDraining · 04/06/2024 21:46

Sunak utterly pathetic.

BlueThursday · 04/06/2024 21:47

This is jumping far too fast from topic to topic

DizzyDandilion · 04/06/2024 21:47

Can't believe anyone prefers Sunak over Starmer...we are clearly watching different programmes...

EdgarsTale · 04/06/2024 21:48

I’m surprised by how weak Starmer is coming across. He isn’t doing himself any favours here.

GrowUpWoman · 04/06/2024 21:48

It’s all negative ‘he has done/will
do X, Y and Z’, not positive ‘We will do X, Y and Z’.

No real concrete policies. Agree Starmer is missing opportunities to refute Sunak’s tax rise claim, which seems to be the thing he’s been told to major on.

Both spending too much time on the ‘my dad was a miner working 27 hours a day’ to empathise with the audience members - and not enough on what they’ll actually do in future.

And they - Sunak in particular - are rude and unruly. She is doing v well not to get more irritated with them.

Goldenbear · 04/06/2024 21:48

ITV audience are going to be pretty right wing, it should be representative, it’s all a bit obvious and dull with the Yes/No game.

DizzyDandilion · 04/06/2024 21:49

She is giving Sunak more leeway which is irritating

Hairyfairy01 · 04/06/2024 21:50

Why didn't either of them say the word 'Israel'?
