I literally just logged on to MN looking for this!

I have no idea who to vote for! I have voted for both parties in the past.

LocalHobo · 04/06/2024 21:06

5ft6 and 5ft7 - does height matter? (Sorry, I am a bit shallow)

StripedPiggy · 04/06/2024 21:06

Apparently Sunak & Starmer get on quite well & have a good personal relationship. The probably bonded over their shared loathing of Boris Johnson.

MidnightPatrol · 04/06/2024 21:07

I think it is interesting that Sunak is already going for ‘Labour will raise taxes - but we will lower your taxes’…

… when all of our income taxes / council taxes have increased via the freezing of tax thresholds.

I am yet to see Sunak actually being challenged on this point.

It all looks so fake and pantomime

hereforthistoday · 04/06/2024 21:10

Kier seems very nervous.

MidnightPatrol · 04/06/2024 21:11

Sunak saying Starmer is going to put our taxes up by £2k.

Starmer not really answering that he isn’t.

What’s the root of this claim by Sunak?

I didn’t know Liz truss was standing again! She’s got some nerve.

Kier seems very nervous.

Perhaps the pressure is getting to him. The election is his to lose at this stage, if the polls are right.

Yes, I'm wondering why he isn't refuting that? I too would like to know how Sunak knows this?

Summerfreezemakesmedrinkwine · 04/06/2024 21:17

The £2k was just allowed to hang in the air. I thought Keir would refute it or say that would only be for the highest earners but that didn't happen. Idk.

Goldenbear · 04/06/2024 21:33

What do people other than pensioners receive from Sunak? What do the tories do for anyone under pension age.

This is so simplistic, is it an ITV thing- answer Yes or No but no detail; don’t they think our concentration spans can take it!

changeison · 04/06/2024 21:33

Sunak clearly wiping the floor with weak Starmer in this debate

Are we watching the same programme, hardly wiping the floor!

Are we watching the same debate. I think Sunak is coming over as super defensive and downright rude, constantly interrupting.

countrygirl99 · 04/06/2024 21:36

I've noticed the audience laughing at Sunak

CissOff · 04/06/2024 21:37

Came on here to find this - Kier is having his arse handed to him.

His inability to not answer a direct question is infuriating.

I’ve never voted Tory, and I can’t because we don’t have a candidate in my area, but I can’t in good conscience vote for Labour any more . Kier is a joke.

Nowanextraone · 04/06/2024 21:37

Starmer really isn't coming across well at all. He doesn't answer any questions

I think it’s to do with unfunded spending commitments promised by Labour. He didn’t really seem to deny it though.

they don't have a manifesto, they don't have any plans

countrygirl99 · 04/06/2024 21:39

Sunaks whole argument is ignore my past performance

MidnightPatrol · 04/06/2024 21:40

Starmer sounds quite good on the boats!

I fear Starmer is following ‘good’ etiquette by not shouting over Sunak and interrupting, but this is making it look like he hasn’t got an answer.

Sunak is incredibly rude, it's annoying how he booms over both the presenter and Starmer.
