I'll go first ...

B&M is over rated

Most of the home decor is tacky
I can get cleaning products at in the supermarket without a separate trip.
It's not super cheap like people say when you really compare the prices

People who judge people for liking things that they don't are weirder

^

Did you miss the point of this thread?

Nope. That's my unpopular opinion. People on mn don't like to be called out on their judgemental attitudes.

MermaidEyes · 21/05/2024 14:05

Ah, now I quite like a B&M 😁

People heading off to Spain and France for their yearly holidays aren't the ones killing the planet, the celebrities, millionaires and politicians constantly jetting off at the drop of a hat are.
Prosecco and gin are the nastiest drinks around. I think the majority of women only drink Prosecco because it's 'in fashion' and the glasses look good.
IKEA furniture is shit and doesn't last five minutes. Save your money and buy decent.
There are too many dog owners in the world. Can't walk to the end of my street without tripping over a load.

People who won’t fly to go on holidays because of the planet must think they hold the palm of the world in their hand. Our politicians in Aust fly to the opening of an envelope & my husbands work commute is a flight ✈️…….why would you miss a holiday with your family to be a hero…anyway.

English people are weird with their dogs! ‘We won’t leave the dog alone’ ‘someone is always here with the dog’ WHY?! I don’t get it. In Australia they are just in the backyard mostly. Nobody I’ve ever met in my life would make sure someone is home with the dog 🤣

I think faith should be mostly personal and private - ok if it’s shared respectfully, but far too often it’s not, and it certainly should not be used to help legislate against things people might find uncomfortable, but that others may genuinely need, or can’t change (abortion/birth control/sexuality etc).

Women (and men) who don’t want children aren’t selfish, but the reasons people cite for having children, often while berating child free people, tend to be selfish ones.

Yes, this is a perfect example of when religion gets far too much. They can do or believe what they want but they shouldn’t be allowed to force their ideologies on others.

You're responsible for how you deal with what happened to you, whatever it is.

I am loving all of these!

I completely agree with you re B&M, I've never liked it. Home Bargains is much better.

My unpopular opinion is that polyester clothing looks and feels cheap and unpleasant - either slimy or scratchy in texture. Why are high street brands putting so much plastic in our clothing? Wouldn't natural fibres be a) more comfortable and b) more environmentally friendly?

Simply because people will buy it and it's cheap for them to produce. I don't disagree tho!

Roast dinners are shit

Agree they can definitely be over rated. If you get a really good one it can be ok but often it's just too much different food on one plate for me

Not everyone should wear leggings…

This one I have to disagree with. My comfort is not your choice. Just because you are fat phobic doesn't mean I can't be comfortable

People should stop flying - they are wrecking the planet and don't need to be able to jet off somewhere on a whim.

The normal person going on 1 or 2 holidays a year are not killing the planet. It's big industry. It's a shame so many people have been convinced of this lie about flying. Also flying with 200 other people all going to the same place is a lot less than the millions of cars all over the plant.

No one else cares what you wear on the school run or plane. If you wear a dinosaur suit or a giraffe onesie they might notice... otherwise....

Agree!!

Agree!! That new one with Anne Hathaway on prime looks terrible!!

I think pizza is horrible. The smell gives me instant nausea. I love carbs, cheese, and tomato/marinara sauces, so it makes no sense 🤣

Sorry I just can't get on board with this one! Even though it gives me indigestion I love it

Withdrawn at OP's request.

I wish more people felt like this. My baby only wore baby grows for the first 7 months of their life. I just want her comfy and warm.

So much wasted money too. Also the poor planet with all that thrown away clothing. It's so hard to sell on baby clothes.

Bring back national service, so if you choose to come to our country (up to age 26) or were born here, you do our national service and pledge your allegiance this country. This is everyone, without exception.

Piratesofponies · 21/05/2024 14:24

People who say "I'll send you a picture of my little one doing x, y or z to cheer you up" if you are going through a bad day/rough time baffle me. Why would that cheer me up? It's happened to me from 3 different people recently during a bad time. I'm childless by choice, why would that cheer me up? I honestly don't get it, but then I think that must mean I am a bit cynical.

I love B&M, great for monthly nesting

I used to go all the time but I just found more and more that I didn't like the decor, and other things I could buy cheaper elsewhere. I don't think it helps that the one near me doesn't have food or garden stuff. I might like it more if it had those.

Agree with all of this. If I could take 20 holidays abroad a year I would with no guilt whatsoever.

Humanising dogs is cruel. They aren't children and don't need to be minded 🤦🏻‍♀️

Women should give more thought to whether having children is what they want as opposed to what they think they should do.

Very interesting, I'm wondering what made you come to this opinion.

Reported you, OP, for blasphemy 😂

I agree with you a bit that some of the home wear is shite, and that its not always that much cheaper than the supermarket.

But, they have absolutely everything in there under one roof. Their plants (indoor and outdoor) are amazing and un-killable. They sell completely random food stuff that you can't physically get anywhere else.

🤣🤣 awaiting my ban!

I think part of the problem is I don't have food or garden stuff at my local.

Edited

I half agree with this but I think it should be for the little shits who are already into drugs, crime, violence, theft etc by 15/16. Every day in my local facebook group there's a bunch of teenage lads just terrorising people and being generally yobbish. They need a sharp life lesson. Not the kids who are doing well and working hard at school, university or jobs.

Babies with ear rings and bows look cruel and chavvy.

Grown ups who love Harry Potter or Disney are weird.

Agree!! Maybe are opinions aren't as unpopular as we think 🤣
