Tuna and chickpea salad
Roasted courgettes with plenty of garlic
Jersey Royals, extra butter

Moreveganice · 19/05/2024 20:10

Chimichurri sauce

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 19/05/2024 20:15

Oh, that's easy, it's my white wine salad dressing. Actually, I don't add the dressing bit as I find it can overpower the flavour rather.
So I just drink the wine and squirt some mayo or salad cream ( I'm not fussed) over the green stuff.

A Greek or caprese salad. Also my potato salad. It seems basic, but it really is not. Mine is legendary and I get requests. I would actually like to change it up, but if I did, I would have to do 2.

AdoraBell · 19/05/2024 22:13

Either a green salad with lots of herbs - mint, basil and parsley for me- or a tomato salad - variety of tomatoes with a good olive oil.

ShittyTitty · 19/05/2024 22:32

Bacon and blue cheese potato salad 👌

Aproductofmyera80s · 19/05/2024 22:33

Mediterranean inspired bulgar.
or my famous potato salad

Citygirlrurallife · 19/05/2024 22:37

My favourite potato salad is from HFW veg book, the potato salad tartare

i always bring home made hummus - seems basic but so much nicer than shop bought

we also cook sweet potatoes in the coals and marinate Portebello mushrooms in miso, garlic, soy and mirin and BBQ them. Similar with tofu steaks. To nibble on I make delia’s Bloody Mary tomatoes which go down a treat

loving and bookmarking all the lovely salad ideas

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 19/05/2024 23:05

Has no one said a pasta and or (not mixed together!) rice salad? Can use leftover of both.

And stuffed olives. and bought artisan bread or bake in bread maker.

I now know why my diet has failed. 😞

Homemade coleslaw - grated carrot, shredded white cabbage, sharp green apple with the skin on in small chunks, mixed with mayo that’s loosen up with a bit of French dressing, topp (last minute’ with salted peanuts.

Corn on the cob, par boiled, ready to be grilled.

Water melon feta and mint salad. I often find there is not a lot of fresh stuff at bbq and this really helps.

Same, it's so nice.
