Rwanda … has come back from the abyss, a country completely destroyed by the genocide.

It is absolutely extraordinary what the Rwandan government have achieved in all walks of life.

It is a safe country and indeed, if you look at the statistics, Kigali is arguably safer than London. So I have no doubt at all about the safety of Rwanda and the efficacy of this scheme.

countrygirl99 · 22/04/2024 09:28

My youngest son's previous flatmate was a Rwandan in his mid 30s so a young child at the time of the genocide. He was still suffering from PTSD and behaved very oddly at times.

DuncinToffee · Today 09:17
I haven't spoken to a politician on my doorstep for many years, we just get volunteers putting leaflets through the letterbox

Really? That’s sad. The Labour person didn’t want to talk about it (women’s rights and labours attitude to women, that is) on my doorstep. I have also written a letter to them, on the same subject; to which there was no response.

Thanks for the new thread. My dog is a knob so have a photo of my other pets - really fat tadpoles. I am a bit obsessed with them and get sad when they move out

Is it because there are too many plebs in London?

Why does Andrew Mitchell think we should listen to him, if that is how he behaves?

Andrew Mitchell loses Plebgate libel trial

Ruling that former Conservative chief whip probably did use ‘politically toxic’ word pleb leaves MP with legal bill of up to £3m

Andrew Mitchell MP fails to declare that he has received tens of thousands in consultancy fees from the Rwandan Government….

Apparently Sunak’s promising that planes will take off for Rwanda in ten to twelve weeks. Lots of big assumptions there.

DuncinToffee · 22/04/2024 10:50

So Sunak is blaming Labour. 'foreign' Courts and threatens MP's and HoL with detention?

OP posts:
JessS1990 · 22/04/2024 10:51

Will it still be Spring in 10-12 weeks?
Will Sunak still be PM?

RafaistheKingofClay · 22/04/2024 10:51

They’re making Rwanda sound great, so I’ve been thinking. Does it have a functioning healthcare system, roads that aren’t riddled with potholes and decent public transport and rivers that aren’t full of sewage?

Because I could be convinced to move there from the shithole the Tories have turned this country into.

DuncinToffee · 22/04/2024 10:51
