Professions you would never date after working with them

I’ll start - surgeons.

One of them told me his wife was a GP -“because only one of us (him) could have a proper career”

Also - the overriding narrative that every female who complained about their outcome or consultation had “mental health issues”. They just couldn’t conceive that anyone would complain about them.

Police

My DH is retired police, some of the stories!! My ex is a serving police officer and really not very nice so I agree - police, not good!
Likewise surgeons, very much a culture of casual sex in my experience, no thanks.

Anyone in the military. I spent years staying in military bases while doing scientific work around the world and the cheating…. Everywhere. They all have girlfriends around the base and wives at home, all of them. Every military wife I ever met would say, “oh, no my husband.” But it was. It always was their husband. Because they all do it.

Prison officer or anyone that works a shift pattern.

The amount of creeping on attractive women is shocking and most of the ones I've encountered have partners at home probably thinking they're 'just at work' when in reality they're using their jobs to try get off with the customers.

You see a side of things at work that you don't see socially, though. I think that's the point.

I wouldn't date police either, not because I think they are all the worst type of cop, but because I've met enough that are.

To be fair, if he's openly admitting that he has a wife, he's probably not somebody you want to consider dating...

Pre judging does make dating easier , and nobody can take you to tribunal for discriminatory dating practices.

Lead singer/guitarist. Women literally throw themselves at their hot, sweaty post-concert bodies. I live with one. I trust him and am secure in the relationship but think if I was 20 years younger, I wouldn't have been able to cope with it.
