Did anyone guess the twist in Sixth Sense when you first watched it?

Spoiler below

When watching the sixth sense for the first time, did anyone guess that Bruce Willis was dead before it got revealed?

I just watched it now and it feels SO obvious! I feel like if I watched it for the first time in 2024 I would’ve guessed. But back when it came out I didn’t

I watched it at the cinema when it came out and I had no idea.

Hummusandstuff · 13/02/2024 19:17

Yes.
Otherwise why the big robbery stabbing scene at the beginning?

Dearg · 13/02/2024 19:17

No, they got me. It is obvious second time around - he never changes his clothes/ wears a coat etc. But all that passed me by. Good movie. I love Bruce Willis,

Scootboot · 13/02/2024 19:18

FFS spoilers much!?

PickledMuffin · 13/02/2024 19:18

No, didn't see it coming at all. A brilliant film, still love it now.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/02/2024 19:19

No I didn’t. I was flabbergasted! But watching it again it’s very obvious.

ChillinwiththeVillains · 13/02/2024 19:19

Yes and I NEVER guess any plot twist ever. Guessed very early in film - must be more than 20 years ago.

PickledMuffin · 13/02/2024 19:19

@Scootboot noooo you've not seen it yet! It's still a great film though. Even if you know what's happened.

Skillest · 13/02/2024 19:20

I didn't.

SPOILER ALERT

I also didn't see The Others twist.

I also started watching From Dusk Til Dawn thinking it was a normal film and had the (expected) What The Actual Fuck?! moment part way through.

Ohhh yes I watched The Others last year and I didn’t see that twist coming!

Aworldofmyown · 13/02/2024 19:22

No idea until the very end!! I saw it at the cinema early doors, that's my excuse.

ISeeTheLight · 13/02/2024 19:22

Nope I didn't see it coming and The Others also completely threw me!

Fulshaw · 13/02/2024 19:22

Yes I did but only because everyone had said it had an amazing twist so I was looking for it.

andHelenknowsimmiserablenow · 13/02/2024 19:23

No. I watched it with EX DP though and he kept saying 'have you guessed? have you got it? I've guessed, I've worked it out' and he was right. So annoying. 😂i still love that film, and yes when I watch it back I can't believe I didn't guess at the time.

Fulshaw · 13/02/2024 19:24

Scootboot · 13/02/2024 19:18

FFS spoilers much!?

I’m not sure you can complain about spoilers of something that came out 25 years ago

FinallyFeb · 13/02/2024 19:24

No and straight after watching it my labour started and my baby was born three hours later so I do think about that film quite a bit.

ElaineMBenes · 13/02/2024 19:25

Scootboot · 13/02/2024 19:18

The film is 25 years old!

burnoutbabe · 13/02/2024 19:25

Yes as I knew there was a twist and I guessed that one half way through and then nothing contradicted it.

devildeepbluesea · 13/02/2024 19:26

Immediate, to the point that I didn’t realise that it actually was a twist and that we weren’t supposed to know it.

And I never get twists.

MadeForThis · 13/02/2024 19:26

My friend was in a queue outside the cinema and someone drove passed in a car and shouted "Bruce Willis is a ghost" 😂😂

Clangered · 13/02/2024 19:27

I went to a comedy night just after it came out and one of the comedians gave it away. Was it really 25 years ago?!

Hummusandstuff · 13/02/2024 19:27

Spoiler? 😁
Better wait another 25 years to discuss it OP

DomesticatedSavage · 13/02/2024 19:28

Yes but only because I’d heard there was a twist so was on the alert for it.
I didn’t guess the big one in The Usual Suspects though, or No Way Out (very dated Kevin Costner film)

EarringsandLipstick · 13/02/2024 19:28

I didn't. Brilliant twist, even more so because you can watch it a second time and see all the signs!

FinallyFeb · 13/02/2024 19:29

A Beautiful Mind was another one I didn’t see coming.
