Do you generally always get a takeaway at the weekend?

We are finding it just getting a little expensive to do every weekend. I'm trying to do little takeaway meals to make it exciting but according to my 15 year old EVERYONE in his class get a takeaway at the weekend. Surely not.

We have loads of good ones near us and I’d love to get one every week! But can’t afford that. Maybe once every month or two but it’s usually for a birthday if we don’t eat out.

we do eat well and spend a lot on food and do takeaway every Friday. I guess people can afford it if they cut corners other ways.

I have a monthly curry with friends and a pizza every few weeks.

Every 2 or 3 weeks but just DH and I - we feed the kids then get our takeaway when they are asleep. It’s a replacement for going out for a lovely meal because we don’t often have babysitters.

Nope, probably once every 2 months or so. We also don't eat out very often as a family. If you have a takeaway every week it doesn't feel as much as treat for us, so we look forward to one when we have it, same for going out. Nothing wrong with those that do though

No we don't get takeaways regularly. The last time was mid December and it was a domino's pizza.

We get McDonald's maybe once a month but it's usually a lunch at a weekend or similar. We never get Chinese or Indian or that sort of takeaway. Our kids are just fussy and it is expensive.

Hardly ever. I can cook better than most takeaways, and for the price can get top quality ingredients and good wine, and have it fresh. And I rate Charlie binghams Indian/thai ready meals as better value for money than the takeaways round here.

We don’t have the option of takeaway because of where we live.

When we visit family they sometimes order takeaway but it’s so expensive!

Yeah we do, I always have done. Takeaway once a week (maybe twice), out for tea probably once every 2 weeks and usually out for coffee/breakfast/dinner once over the weekend.

I don’t see it as a waste of money, I enjoy it and a girls gotta eat!

No, I can’t actually remember when/ what the last one was but I’d say maybe 3 a year. Used to be more but we’re out of the habit now - it’s so expensive and we had a few disappointing ones so that put us off. Usually on a Friday DH makes either his own pizzas or a curry of some kind, the pizza is better that the takeaway options, the curries don’t really compare but they’re still nice!

We get the occasional gousto or hello fresh box and I prefer to spend the money on those - we’ve had one this week actually and really enjoyed everything we made from it.

We probably get one every week and if we don’t it’s because we’re eating out over the weekend. We’ve definitely noticed the cost going up, but we can still afford it and rarely manage to get a babysitter to go out so it feels worth it for a night off.

We used to get takeaway every week but since my DS moved out only do so about once a month now. We go out to eat twice a month though as a couple and I always eat out on Sundays because I drop Foster son to cricket training then go to get food as 2 hour wait, then collect him.

I've just ordered a KFC. I've been craving it all day. Probably due to a slight hangover.

We've started getting one every Saturday.

We order in pizza every couple of weeks... but occasionally pick up a KFC instead.
