Anyone not doing a roast dinner tomorrow?

My mam always used to do a roast Christmas day, boxing day and NYD.

I genuinely cannot be bothered. I'm not celebrating tonight.

I'm making whatever in the freezer tomorrow like any other Monday.

I think my depression is creeping in a bit in all honesty.

I'm in Scotland so it's steak pie for us. Definitely couldn't be bothered to make or eat another roast even though it's my favourite meal

We like to have a roast dinner on New Year’s Day. Christmas dinner was a week ago and we usually have a roast once a week so I don’t think it’s a big deal.

DH is doing one because I really, really want roast chicken. He reckons a roast dinner is one of the easiest things to cook ever. I find this incomprehensible.

There's only two of us today, so a roast chicken will give us a couple of meals and soup, which sorts the menu for a few days. Obviously not as many as some Mumsnetters would expect....🤣
