What's the worst thing you've thrown up?

Lighthearted, but I've got this horrid cold and cough.

I'm wfh today and couldn't be bothered to make lunch, so I had a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. After eating I started coughing, then wretching, and eventually throwing up 'a lot'! Omg, CNC is without a doubt the worst thing I've ever thrown up. The smell, the taste and the texture means I don't think I'll ever eat them again. I ended up in a vicious circle, where my puke was making me puke even more. This comes from someone who has been sick a lot. I had morning sickness for 8 months when pregnant and tried to eat all sorts. But this was far and away the worst thing ever! Completely ruined cereal for me!

Ben and Jerry's chocolate ice cream. Warm, foamy and completely disgusting.

CleanHankie · 19/12/2023 14:03

Curry. Couldn't tell you which one but my vomit was beautifully red. The colour of a glossy Red Setter. Which is why it took 24hrs to realise I'd tripped over the dog on the way to the bathroom and vomited over him, as well as my bedroom floor and the bathroom.

I have vomited many times in my life, but the colour of that will remain embedded in my brain forever

It's always carrots. Even when I haven't eaten carrots for weeks.

A Mr Kipling apple pie. It somehow reformed in my stomach and appeared to come out as a whole, perfectly formed (albeit wet) pie.

Lasagne isn't a pleasant one.

Psychoticbreak · 19/12/2023 14:05

3 black russians and curry chips. It came out solid.

That’s because you have a carrot gland in your throat, which syphons off little bits of carrot when you eat them and then is the first thing to empty when you vomit

BlueberryVelvet · 19/12/2023 14:08

Milky tea.

I had hyperemesis and haven’t been able to drink milky tea since. She’s 22 now.

flibbertigiblets · 19/12/2023 14:09

A cup of tea. I am a very experienced vomiter having racked up 60+ weeks of daily pregnancy vomiting. A cup of tea a few hours old is by far the most unpleasant.

TheGruffalochild · 19/12/2023 14:09

Aubergine. The purple skin around the edge was not at all digested and came up in long strips that were getting stuck to the edge of my throat.
And they had been cooked in garlic, so the taste was foul.

Well at least I can rest assured that my carrot gland is in top notch order then Smile

That is very impressive!

Although I wonder if in fact you need to chew more 🤔

That's intestinal flora. Looks like carrots but it's not😆

I had HG in 2 pregnancies so I've thrown up a lot of different things but tomato soup was probably the worst. It burnt on its way back up.
Spag bol was also not pleasant.

CMOTDibbler · 19/12/2023 14:16

Noodles. It really isn't a pleasant process. But also, in the process of a 16 hour vomiting episode due to cyclic vomiting syndrome I retched and coughed so hard I expelled a lung cast which was a solid lump of petrified gunk. I still remember the clink it made in the bowl as it came out.

Yeah, heinz tomato soup was grim. It came out of my nose too - and burnt it too.

I also threw up a cup of tea when I was pregnant 20 years ago. Haven't had a cup since.

Mexican food during a migraine. Put me off it for a year.

alloalloallo · 19/12/2023 14:24

Chicken satay bao buns with pink gin and tequila.

The bao buns were just vile (they weren’t all that great on the way in to be honest). They were just this whole sludge. Grim. Tequila is never fun

My own poo... feacal vomiting is not pleasant! 🤢 makes you grateful for the NG tube that follows.

Though vomiting up the peppermint tea that the nurse had made me drink was probably worse. That really burned on the way out.

Ballyhoobird · 19/12/2023 14:25

Milk. Once drank a pint of milk the morning after a party to settle my stomach. Threw up on the way home and it came back up curdled into a solid jelly like slab - same smell and texture as baby sick but large and squarish - same size as a pint of milk...

HelpMeGetThrough · 19/12/2023 14:26

Snakebite and black. I was so pissed, I thought I had internal bleeding!!

SockQueen · 19/12/2023 14:29

Lime and chilli trout. Throwing up any fish is disgusting, but with the added stinging from the lime and burning from the chilli, it was a real low point of my pregnancy sickness adventure.

pattyparsnip · 19/12/2023 14:32

I thought a cup of tea might be a more pleasant thing to come back up ! . For me a full English was bad . I'd do anything not to be sick up until this summer is managed 10 years .

Omg what, how do you throw up your own poo?!

I'm glad you asked that, as I didn't want to. 💩
