What's the worst thing you've thrown up?

Lighthearted, but I've got this horrid cold and cough.

I'm wfh today and couldn't be bothered to make lunch, so I had a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. After eating I started coughing, then wretching, and eventually throwing up 'a lot'! Omg, CNC is without a doubt the worst thing I've ever thrown up. The smell, the taste and the texture means I don't think I'll ever eat them again. I ended up in a vicious circle, where my puke was making me puke even more. This comes from someone who has been sick a lot. I had morning sickness for 8 months when pregnant and tried to eat all sorts. But this was far and away the worst thing ever! Completely ruined cereal for me!

Moussaka is definitely up there. It’s extremely oily when it comes back up and just really unpleasant. By far the worst IMO though is when you can’t keep anything down but still keep being sick and it’s just bright yellow liquid that tastes completely vile. I always think of that Phoebe Buffay line, “This is what evil must taste like!”

allfurcoatnoknickers · 19/12/2023 15:42

I had HG twice and threw up a LOT, but I can confidently say that popcorn was the worst. It felt like throwing up broken glass.

BloodandGlitter · 19/12/2023 16:02

Absolutely heinz tomato soup for me. I was still part way through eating it when it came back up looking exactly the same. Thanks pregnancy acid reflux.

A big congealed lump of takeaway chips. I ended up with a red eye.

In labour with my first dc, I'd had a breakfast -almost 24 hours earlier - of mushrooms and other things. I vomited when I was ready to push and the mushrooms came out whole. I'm sure I chewed them!

evilharpy · 19/12/2023 16:27

I gorged on pink wafers once when I was a kid. The aftermath has never been forgotten.

lemonyellows · 19/12/2023 16:30

Diamond white and black

LBOCS2 · 19/12/2023 16:30

Ginger beer. It burned a lot worse on the way back up than it did drinking it 😬

grayhairdontcare · 19/12/2023 16:30

Umbongo on the coach on the way back from a school trip.
It was fucking horrendous!
Honestly it was borderline death by tropical fruit concentrate.

Tonight1 · 19/12/2023 16:31

Rice, without a doubt. This was in 2006 and we were due to move the next day. We went to an Italian restaurant and hadn't drank. I had risotto.

I can still remember spewing all those grains of rice and the sensation.

Oh my God, why am I reading this thread? 🤮

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 19/12/2023 16:33

Watermelon Bacardi Breezer. The taste, the colour, vile!

The other one is Southern Comfort, I can still remember thowing up over my own feet (I was wearing boots thankfully!) while DH held my hair back. Even now the smell of it makes me heave

HippyChickMama · 19/12/2023 16:33

A litre of raspberry and orange juice while pregnant with ds, it was a very hot day and I drank it over a very short space of time. It burned on the way out. I discovered while pregnant with dd that Rice Krispies are very easy to vomit back up. I practically lived on them for the first 16 weeks of pregnancy because I knew that whatever I ate was going to come back up at some point and figured I might as well make it as easy as possible.

dontforgetme · 19/12/2023 16:34

McDonald's. Fucking hell the taste whilst throwing up and the after taste straight after. Revolting!

Cheeseplantalltheway · 19/12/2023 16:34

My dog threw up a load of roundworms once, into my turned up trousers.

TheLadyIsAVamp · 19/12/2023 16:35

A Bombay bad boy pot noodle, I was about 15 and still remember the feeling of the spicy noodles in my nose 🤮. Doesn't sound that bad being sick after drinking fresh orange juice after brushing your teeth is absolutely grim, possibly the worst taste I've experienced 😂.

stayathomer · 19/12/2023 16:35

satsumas (shudders at memory!!)

historygeek · 19/12/2023 16:39

As I student I once woke up to a full chip in my nose. I must have neglected to chew and then puked before staggering to bed.

CyberCritical · 19/12/2023 16:41

Butterscotch schnapps and red wine was my worst ever combo. Wasn't great going down, really bad coming back up.

blackheartsgirl · 19/12/2023 16:42

Spag Bol mixed with wine. Oh dear god, it was horrific

smellmel22 · 19/12/2023 16:43

Egg fried rice and Chinese chicken curry. I wouldn't eat it again for years. Happy to update I'm ok with it again now.

Floopani · 19/12/2023 16:43

Heinz tomato soup and on another occasion milk of magnesia. Never been able to touch either since, and the milk of magnesia thing happened when I was a child and I have not taken any form of liquid medicine since.

BearPear · 19/12/2023 16:48

When I was pregnant I couldn’t eat at any time but lunchtime so I used to get something substantial in my break at work, but without fail I’d throw up when I got home in the evening. Multiple times I threw up partially digested fish & chips - it was gross!

Notsonifty50 · 19/12/2023 16:49

Poo. I had a small bowel obstruction. It was another ten days before I was able to brush my teeth or wash the faeces out of my hair. DH tells me I smelt really bad. I was too unwell to notice fortunately.

Verv · 19/12/2023 16:49

snakebite and black.
purple vomit.
havent been able to look at cider since (I was 16)

PepsiCoco · 19/12/2023 16:49
