What's the worst thing you've thrown up?

Lighthearted, but I've got this horrid cold and cough.

I'm wfh today and couldn't be bothered to make lunch, so I had a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. After eating I started coughing, then wretching, and eventually throwing up 'a lot'! Omg, CNC is without a doubt the worst thing I've ever thrown up. The smell, the taste and the texture means I don't think I'll ever eat them again. I ended up in a vicious circle, where my puke was making me puke even more. This comes from someone who has been sick a lot. I had morning sickness for 8 months when pregnant and tried to eat all sorts. But this was far and away the worst thing ever! Completely ruined cereal for me!

Blood? That sounds terrifying! Are you ok? Small sips of mint tea helps when you have the dry heaves.

Undigested fish and chips. Put off for life!

During a severe cold I hacked up a perfect miniature green tree. Couldn't believe my eyes.

It's known as a 'lung cast' and is formed of mucus.
Nah, it's a tree.

After having a few cocktails on holiday I finished the evening off with a Bloody Mary or two. Unfortunately I woke up in the middle of the night, threw up everywhere and thought I was bleeding to death having forgotten what I’d been drinking 🤢

HG x 2... tomato soup without a doubt. Follows
Closely but a Big Mac 1 minute after eating it so it was basically coming back up as slippery thick bite size chunks - horendous

Sealover123 · 12/04/2024 19:28

Tacos hurt like hell coming up. So did pepperoni pizza.

catin8oots · 12/04/2024 19:28

mewkins · 12/04/2024 19:48

Strawberry daiquiri- it burnt my throat.

Letsgotitans · 12/04/2024 19:58

I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy which caused a Port site hernia. For 10 days the doctors kept telling me I was just constipated whilst I was throwing up green bile, approx 3 litres at a time :)

Steak. I was a teenager and I’d had it for my birthday dinner as a treat we only had it on birthdays as it was expensive. I felt sick about an hour after I’d eaten it and tried to stop myself being sick by putting my hand over my mouth, didn’t work it came out my nose instead. Big chunks of vomit steak that I could smell for hours afterwards put me off it for ages!

flowerpotmike · 12/04/2024 21:20

I once threw up a pickled egg! It was absolutely disgusting, he can imagine. The burny eggyness of it and the rubbery texture.
Another time I threw up some kind of pink cocktail. I was in a tube station and tried to stop myself by putting my hands over my mouth. So the puke came out my nose , it was bright pink and really really hurt!

Letmegetoff · 12/04/2024 21:23

Malibu and fresh orange round the back of the sports centre in 1988 aged 15. No other spew has quite burned itself into my memory

mrsbyers · 12/04/2024 21:39

Yep another one who has vomited their own poop due to bowel blockage - just the worst

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 12/04/2024 21:46

I got absolutely bladdered on campari and was puking up. had to go wake my mum because I thought I was hemorrhaging.

AuraBora · 12/04/2024 22:06

A tasty mix of seafood pizza washed down with lots of pina colada and a few other fruity cocktails. Somewhere in Greece circa 2002.
Also spaghetti bol the night I went into labour.. was not a nice way to start the process!

spiderlight · 13/04/2024 00:28

A chickpea curry that DH had made the night before my first full-blown vestibular migraine. I have never been so sick in my life and I have never been able to eat chickpeas since.

A close second was the goji berries that someone assured me would help with my hyperemesis during pregnancy. Even the word written down still makes me feel nauseous and DS is now 17.

elm26 · 13/04/2024 00:39

I had hyperemesis throughout my whole pregnancy but was also starving so I just ate knowing I'd throw it up within minutes. Steak was the worst one, it came back up so fast I was choking on it.

TulipTuesday · 13/04/2024 00:46

Barely digested Branston Pickle was pretty terrible. Haven’t been able to eat it since.

The worst though was the sight of tuna salad splattered over the bath when I hadn’t made it to the loo. Weird green pieces everywhere.

IsleOfPenguinBollards · 13/04/2024 00:51

A pasta dish with a creamy sauce, plus a glass or two of red wine. Cream vomit stinks.

LauderSyme · 13/04/2024 01:10

Weirdly, plain boiled rice. It came up in many, many really slow motion heaves instead of a few big, quick spews. It didn't taste terrible like most of these, but was painfully long drawn out and took forever.

The day (yes the entire day) after I drank way too much moonshine liquor was also memorably awful.

Blueuggboots · 13/04/2024 01:54

Lemon squash....sounded like Phyllis from Carrie for about 3 days after!!
