My honey has solidified.

My stand off-ish cat has sat on my lap.... three times!

It hasn't happened yet but last year the handle on the Tesla was frozen. They're weird and you have to push them in (see pic). I pushed and pushed but it wouldn't budge. Thankfully I realised you could pop the driver door open in the app but had to crawl into the back to open those doors and had to crawl across the front passenger door after offering a few colleagues a lift on a very cold night. It was all kinds of undignified.

The cats have their winter fat on and are really, really grumpily looking through the cat flap at the frosted garden. Then grumbling at me about it as if I have the power to magically summon hot weather for them

Likewise. By the pricking of my thumbs, something chilly this way comes.

Why it should be my thumbs that ache the most, I have no idea.

I've just heard DH explaining to the cat that there's no point in asking to go out of the front door, because it's just as cold out there as it is at the back. Grin

The annual 'do I let my asd child freeze and then go into meltdown or do I force him into a coat, hat and gloves then go into meltdown battle' begins. Sigh.

When.....
Your youngest child slips on sheet ice on the doorstep.
You check the outdoor tap is left open and switched off under the sink to prevent a burst pipe (glad I checked as it wasn't off).
You go out of the house armed with a can of deicer in the dark and an extra 15 mins before you'd normally set off.
You need those gloves, where's my damn gloves?No, I'm bloody well not leaving without them.
Your DC who never wears a hat, wants to wear the hat.

Two things:

when the cats try the front door to go out but it’s too cold. Obviously out the back door is tropical…oh wait. What about the kitchen door? Rinse and repeat complaining loudly.

Or sadly, my legs are constantly in pain.

My cat used to do that. I'd tell him if it,was freezing cold at the front door than it'd be freezing cold at the back door too. Did he listen, did he fuck?
Also have aching knees in the cold.

My DH starts wearing PJs to bed! Only thin ones, but still actual PJs. He asked me to get him some last year because he was "getting a bit chilly at night". (It was snowing.)
