...the lid of your wheelie bin is frozen shut. 😂

Come tell me the random little signs of winter where you are. ❄🌨

I ran through some flattened dog poo with the buggy earlier. It was fine though as frozen solid.

MeinKraft · 02/12/2023 15:54

When you keep your wine/cans of Coke in the car because it's colder than straight out the fridge

the80sweregreat · 02/12/2023 16:08

Heated driveways?? Gosh, I can honestly say I've never heard of this and I assume the op must live somewhere incredibly cold .

I think the pp who mentioned a heated driveway is somewhere in North America, and they do get brisk weather over there.

When you don’t need to put the beer and wine in the fridge because it’s actually colder in the garage.

(Echoing @MeinKraft upthread 😄)

I have to put the windscreen cover on overnight so that I can get straight in the car and don't have to defrost it. Thank you Lidl!

I always wonder what people do with those covers when they remove then in the morning? Presumably all the frost on them melts if it gets warm enough during the day. So where do you leave it? If you put them in your boot it would just leave it wet, surely?

When DS finally digs out his school jumper to wear under his blazer.

The cat is an even hardier little chap, and still likes to be out patrolling his territory.

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 02/12/2023 19:52

I've seen a few PP mention this, and only just realised it's not just me nicking off to the loo all the time. What is it about needing to wee more when it's cold??

@MooseBeTimeForSnow I remember having a cold when I was in Russia in the winter. Frozen snot was a new experience, and not one I'm keen to repeat. It's weird!

Frozen cobwebs all over the street lanterns and fence!

My house and garden looked extra creepy today because of the frozen cobwebs!

Not my photo but this is pretty much what my driveway looks like for much of the winter. I would love a heated driveway!

sixteenfurryfeet · 02/12/2023 23:20

@ZZTopGuitarSolo That's not a driveway, that's a bobsleigh run. Grin

Not my cat keeps turning up to stay over
He's a cat about town all summer, weather changes and he starts sleeping here for 16hrs a day

All good until they explode !

sixteenfurryfeet · 03/12/2023 09:03

It's all soggy and thawing here today. Cats still have no inclination to go and investigate though, and are happily cocooned indoors.

You have to get the window vac out to Hoover the condensation off your windows

shamelesss · 03/12/2023 13:56

the equipment is for the teenagers too, they’re still children and if your area is anything like mine there’s not much else for them to do without spending money.
Hopefully the teenagers in your area are good at sharing with the smaller ones as they are around here 🙂

mumof2fromstafford · 10/12/2023 08:17

Haha same - I love my heated blanket I ordered off Tiktok and the only bra for me working from home is the Loung-erie comfort bralette, so comfy I hate taking it off, feels like not wearing a bra but still keeps me supported, highly recommend xx

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 09:51

How does he reach without falling in?🙀

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 09:57

BoomBoom70 · 10/12/2023 09:58

Growing up in the 80s and thick ice sheets would form on the inside of the single glazed windows in my bedroom. I used to love getting a knife and sliding it down between the glass and the ice. Obviously I didn’t feel the cold. Would hate it now!

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 10:01

The cat starts sleeping in his round furry john Lewis pet ped- in summer its too hot in there.

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 10:06

My son used to put his in a bin bag in boot.Doesnt need it now he's got brand new car with heated windows. He's so happy about not spending ages defrosting when he forgot to put cover on.

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 10:10

Son aged 20 has come home from uni (still lives at home for uni) wearing a new thicker jacket even though ive been nagging him over 2 years that old one (when he bothered to use it) was not warm enough for winter.🙄

cazcaz2 · 10/12/2023 10:19

Theres a switch under sink for that? Who knew.Cheers ill go look.
