...the lid of your wheelie bin is frozen shut. 😂

Come tell me the random little signs of winter where you are. ❄🌨

I could gauge the drop in temperature with counting how many cats slept on the bed at night.
1 cat always slept on the bed all year round
2 cats feeling cooler at night
3-4 cats getting colder
5 cats definitely much colder outside
6 cats Artic conditions especially as I only had 5 cats, the 6th one was a neighbours that had tail-gated mine through the cat flap in a stormy snowy blizzard.
I only have a dog now & she sleeps at the foot of my bed in winter.

I know they must be desirable in certain climates but the thought of heated driveways makes me sad for the planet.

Even worse, some years ago I read about refrigerated beaches (under the sand) - IIRC it was a proposal for some development in Dubai.

Whether it ever actually happened I don’t know. But it’s true that in that part of the world (we lived there) beaches can get far too hot to walk on for a couple of months in the summer.
