Anyone waiting for an Oodie to be delivered, or just had one delivered? What’s your experience?

Ordered an Oodie as a gift (for Christmas) a couple of weeks ago as they were massively discounted. No sign. Had an email saying sorry for the delay and they can’t promise anything or give an update. No way to contact anyone, and live chat taken down!
It seems that loads of people are in this position. They (Oodie) didn’t realise that big discounts meant considerably more sales, apparently 🙄

Have you had one delivered recently? How long did it take?
I know it’s still a while till Christmas, but I want to know what’s happening!

Could you link, please, @SilenceIsComplicity ?

I had a look on a couple of £5 websites but couldn't find any!

It's 5poundstuff.com . Sorry I'm rubbish at doing links. I had a quick look last night -they have sold out of the panda but had a couple of other designs I recognised (cat one I bought myself and it's an oodie).

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 18/12/2023 11:51

Didn't order a Oodie but ordered a dressing gown which took around 2 weeks to arrive and was very disappointing so now waiting for a email so can send it back...

Good luck to everyone waiting on a Oodie Oodie..sounds very chaotic!

I don’t understand how a successful company has no idea that there would be high demand due to black Friday sales. This happened twice to me, this year and two years ago. They are a nice products, however they need better systems in place to deal with the high volume of orders that sales produce

I think it’s a case of having a super product, best in class, but zero business sense behind the product. So, essentially, the product sells itself which is the only thing that saves it from lack of business sense.

Thanks, Silence I'll take a look.

It's worth a look . If you're not fussed on the design then you maybe able to find one . Just note that not all of the hoodies on There are oodies, so as I said before do your research and cross reference any you like with the ones on the oodie website to better your chances of finding the real deal!

Janetmaxmusic · 18/12/2023 12:43

I ordered my Oodie 16 November, it has been apparently in transit for 30 days now. Can’t contact anyone poor customer service. Still haven’t received it 18 December. Any ideas?

Panicmode1 · 18/12/2023 13:17

@janetmaxmusic snap, only I ordered mine on the 13th Nov. I haven't had any comms, tracking info useless. I've opened a PayPal dispute and will get my money back on the 21st assuming the Oodie people don't engage with PayPal....(they haven't so far).

MabelMaybe · 18/12/2023 13:21

I ordered one from the five pound website mentioned on here. Fewer colours, but good, thick, quality and arrived within 48 hours.

Dee1224 · 18/12/2023 13:56

I ordered a pink one from five pound stuff.com before I made the mistake of ordering from Oodie.

My five pound stuff one was the baby pink and cost me under £15 inc. p&p. Arrived 24 hours after order and I can confirm it’s genuine and perfect.

True Face on eBay and Amazon are also excellent.

Rosecwood · 18/12/2023 16:51

Mine have just arrived. Order placed Nov 11th. Asked for a refund this weekend and now they are here!!

Dee1224 · 18/12/2023 19:59

My reorder confirmation, (following on from the early November order the Oodie lost), has finally come through. I will update if the item actually arrives!

I can’t say I am too optimistic, as I got this far in mid November with an estimated delivery date for my original order, and, of course, nothing showed up 😟

stormthecastle · 19/12/2023 10:40

Apparently one small item from my order is pending estimated delivery today - a towelling turban. It's supposedly been at Royal Mail depot since Nov 28th. 😐

So we'll see if it turns up today, but my other things who knows where they are or when they'll arrive. I contacted CS to ask but we're all aware of the waiting times for a response.

Grandmasubob · 19/12/2023 10:42

Had another generic email this morning full of twaddle and promises, just like the one I received previously. Ironically followed by a review request regarding their customer services… hah! Ordered a child’s Pokemon Oodie 22/11/23 and had a dispatch confirmation with an estimated delivery date 29/11/23….still waiting. I submitted a cancellation request today as I bought a substitute from ASDA. I had the automated response saying how busy they are and can expect a reply in 14days. Think I may just call the bank and ask them to cancel the payment.

stormthecastle · 19/12/2023 10:52

Reading this thread it looks like my estimated delivery date of today (for just one item from my order) probably won't happen. 🤔

stormthecastle · 19/12/2023 10:54

I'd say it's not arriving today! Just checking the tracking number and it says there's a problem. Oh well!

Dee1224 · 19/12/2023 12:38

Mine has actually arrived today - you could have knocked me down with a feather!

RM tracking atm says ‘there’s a problem’, whereas earlier it said they were waiting to receive the parcel. It was therefore a surprise when it landed on the mat an hour ago.

I haven’t unwrapped it to check, but the bag says adult Pokémon- hopefully it will be ok - I don’t want to unwrap it as it’s in an easy to wrap again package atm.

The whole performance has taken from 7/11 to today, with about ten emails to the Oodie, one reorder - finally- and, what I think clinched its eventual arrival - reviews on TP.

Looking through old threads, it seems that the Oodie behave like this every year between October and December. I am glad to have my item in time for Xmas, but will never order from them again.

stormthecastle · 19/12/2023 13:12

One of the items from my order actually turned up! I'm also shocked as I was just saying there were problems with the tracking when I checked.

I don't think I'll see the rest of my order before Christmas.

Dee1224 · 19/12/2023 14:27

Glad you got something at least @stormthecastle

Anisette · 19/12/2023 17:46

I went for a long one like this. It's great because it covers my legs and keeps the whole of me warm. It's a bit of a faff to get on and off, but apart from that it's worth every penny.

SalviaDivinorum · 19/12/2023 18:10

I was badly stung by them in January. It eventually came but weeks later. Tracking is appalling and the faux cuteness is toe curling. I left a Trustpilot review which was less than flattering and 100% accurate and was contacted by them later asking for me to remove it. I did not

I would never recommend them to anyone

MrCG1993 · 20/12/2023 03:32

Ordered 3 25 days ago now and not had a single update to say where they are or when they will be delivered but the 1 I ordered 2 days after the first lot turned up already , tried contacting them on socials and email and had zero response it’s a joke of a company , 3 Xmas presents missing with no sign or info on where they are

SilenceIsComplicity · 20/12/2023 03:43

Grandmasubob · 19/12/2023 16:49

I've already suggested this, but it largely fell on deaf ears! It's a fab website isn't it? I'm currently wrapped up in my cats oodie and the panda oodie is wrapped up under the Christmas tree. Amazingly only Took 3 days to arrive. If I was waiting those ridiculous delivery times like posters on here, I'd be cancelling my order, getting a refund and buying from this store. And saving loads to boot!

Dee1224 · 20/12/2023 08:38

I don’t disagree @SilenceIsComplicity - 5poundstuff and True Face on eBay are selling genuine Oodies atm.

I think part of the problem is that some people are not being responded to when they ask to cancel and have already shelled out lots of money.

For people who are struggling to get through to the Oodie:
Sending an email to [email protected] saying CANCEL and asking for a refund, together with full order details might help.

Then, if you don’t get a response, you can start a claim with PayPal or a chargeback from your credit card.

I believe if you paid by PayPal you may find it quicker to get a refund.

Basically, they lost a lot of customer details relating to BF orders - mine was one of them - if they hadn’t eventually admitted this to me and reordered early December I would never have received my item.

Good luck, everyone

Grandmasubob · 20/12/2023 09:36

That’s infuriating! Why didn’t they just send an email asking us to reorder instead of the twaddle about being extremely busy!!! A business cannot survive on lies 😡
