I hate my new car, I feel sick

It’s my fault, I was easily talked into it by the sales person.

It’s such a basic car and I’m embarrassed by it. It’s expensive and I want to cry

invoke the cooling off period

TenPenceMix · 11/11/2023 12:34

Return it.

getinthedust · 11/11/2023 12:40

When I went to pick it up with my partner he said to me something like definitely this one and the salesman said - we’ll it’s too late now I’ve taxed it.

Like I know now that’s not true as I’ve got 7 days for the cooling off period but

What's wrong with it? Why is it embarrassing? I have a Dacia and I am not embarrassed 😂

It’s a Mercedes A Class and I just think it’s basic and a car a parent would buy a child who just passed their test.

I don't think there is a cooling off period if she went into the dealership to order it?

What's wrong with it? Why is it embarrassing? Was it the best you could get for your budget?

Fucking hell how many parents can afford to buy a merc for their child's first car.

Grow up op and take the car back.

I was expecting a little Peugeot or something, not a 30k car.

NashvilleQueen · 11/11/2023 12:47

Gosh it sounds like hell OP.

Hmm
SecretVictoria · 11/11/2023 12:47

WTF. Seriously. Keep the car and learn to be less of a snob?

holidaywin · 11/11/2023 12:47

Yeah it's a really shit car Biscuit

Ilikewinter · 11/11/2023 12:47

I think you need to get a grip OP, no normal parent is buying their child a Mercedes A class as their first car!. Ive had 2, the old and new shape - what model did you get and why is it basic?.

Smartiepants79 · 11/11/2023 12:48

What do you mean it’s embarrassing? It’s not a Porsche?
What exactly do you not like about it? Because ‘it’s basic’ is a fairly immature reason? Does it have the right number of seats, doors, boot space for you? Does it drive nicely? Is it reliable and safe? Is it cost effective and efficient? Was the price right?
These are reasons for why you do or do not choose a car.
If you really don’t want it, send it back!

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 11/11/2023 12:48

Awwww are your diamond shoes too tight as well?

Espoge · 11/11/2023 12:48

I had to Google them. It's a lovely car, what's the problem?

Mumof1andacat · 11/11/2023 12:49

I have 1.2 vauxhall corsa. No dab a radio. It's 10 years old but she's mine. Cheap to tax, run and insure. Perfect. Do you need a big expensive car? Can you afford one? Can you comfortably drive one?

happinessischocolate · 11/11/2023 12:49

I'm embarrassed for you OP

Perhaps you could exchange it for a grip?

Smartiepants79 · 11/11/2023 12:49

Ha, ok, you are immature because you’re a teenager and this is a wind-up.
Don’t you have homework to do?

TwiddlingMyToes · 11/11/2023 12:49

I almost believed you!

TokyoSushi · 11/11/2023 12:49

OP!

mimiku · 11/11/2023 12:50

I’ll swap you my car, a beat up Vauxhall zafira. Much less embarrassing, I’ll take the burden of driving round an A class x

regularmumnotacoolmum · 11/11/2023 12:50

@getinthedust oh bless you. I do know what you mean... it reminds me of a young single middle class kid. However, it's not an embarrassing car to have. My mum traded in her fancy sports car for a 6 month old golf recently as it makes sense given that she does so many miles, it's easy to park and economical. I tease her about being a bit racer sometimes but I don't mean it. It does the job and it's a well made car that is comfortable and practical. Don't worry about it!!

BarryK3nt · 11/11/2023 12:50

Just googled it and I now really want one
