I live near this house and I have always wanted to see inside. Just wish it had a floor plan

www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/140487803

It's also on a main road and not "in the heart of" anywhere

The bathrooms are bigger than the bedrooms which is the wrong way round. The bathroom decor look like it's copied the interior of a 1970's nightclub.

Ikeepmybumcheekshidden · 27/09/2023 22:23

I think that's owned by a family of 'travellers' (if that's the current pc term?)

ThatsMeTold · 27/09/2023 22:27

Formerly a humble cottage the listings say. I don’t fancy a kitchen/living/dining room.

All the gold coving, never seen that in a castle before. I think the lady of the house is in the hall in picture 24.

OP was it run as a guest house or something? So many small rooms with little sofas and multiple bathrooms. Bonkers.

Yellownotblue · 27/09/2023 22:28

Is anyone else reminded of the Mar a Lago bathroom where Trump stored classified documents?

Grotesque - outside and inside. French Louis XIV furniture on really works in huge size rooms not those boxy bedrooms.

The gold cornice & chandeliers look hideous!

Agreed!! Although I have a lovely French bed (unpainted) in my little period cottage...Grin

The gold cornice is beyond dreadful - as is everything really!

The Bristol house is stunning. Wouldn't want the heating bills though.....

Not as far as I know. Maybe Airbnb but honestly don't know

The one in Bristol for almost £3m I’d like my own garden! If it’s detached who does it share the ‘communal’ garden with?

ChristmasKraken · 27/09/2023 22:30

I'm really glad there's a good close up photo of just the (bog standard) shower head, it's things like that which will make or break a house sale of this value ...

Lucyintheskywithadiamond · 27/09/2023 22:30

Tacky, it’s an eye sore.

CheshireCat1 · 27/09/2023 22:31

It’s a monstrosity.

Unexpecteddrivinginstructor · 27/09/2023 22:32

I would love to see Claire Cossey do a tour of that house. Shame she stopped her singing house tours.

LulooLemon · 27/09/2023 22:32

Too many pictures of toilets.

The photos are poor quality for the price tag.

ASGIRC · 27/09/2023 22:32

The furniture will be changed...
But the photos are SO BAD!

Its bad enough that the rooms are tiny, but why would you take photos of unmade beds, and weird angles?

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 27/09/2023 22:33

God the photographer is shit. The photos do it no justice
The bedrooms are awful and no kitchen shots.

CoffeeLover90 · 27/09/2023 22:34

Hideous

Moveoverdarlin · 27/09/2023 22:35

It’s bloody hideous. My seven year old DS would love it, when he draws castles or makes them out of cardboard boxes they look like this.

The Bristol house is magnificent.

Raffyash1 · 27/09/2023 22:35

£3m? I wouldnt buy it for £300k

MaggieFS · 27/09/2023 22:36

I don't think they have an estate agent. I've never heard of the people it's "marketed by" but they're from Wolverhampton so I assume it's a budget version of Purple Bricks, and the people have taken the [terrible] photos themselves, which also explains why there's no floor plan.

More bathrooms than bedrooms makes sense if they are all en-suite plus a couple of downstairs loos.

It's awful.

Newnamefor23 · 27/09/2023 22:37

It’s a bit gold bath taps.

Might suit Donald Trump?

Furryrug · 27/09/2023 22:37

What the bloody hell did they take the pictures with? A box brownie?

Meowandthen · 27/09/2023 22:37

This is my favourite photo. A narrow entrance to a room and a pile of utter crap.

Just why?

The decor is awful

The photos are dreadful

It's such a shame - striking on the outside, totally underwhelming on the inside

Striking is certainly one way of putting it.

It's utterly hideous. Despite all the advertised rooms we have 30 pictures of the same ones. Clearly most rooms are unfurnished as there is various pictures of junk, random furniture and clothes and the rooms that are dressed - it's the sames pieces of furniture moved from one room to the next! Don't fancy the view out the windows much. Brick walls, weeds and wasteland.

I honestly wouldn't take it if it was given to me free.

AnImaginaryCat · 27/09/2023 22:39

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 27/09/2023 22:10

Why are most of the pictures just repeats? Same two bedrooms and bathrooms over and over (even if they e taken off the duvet and put a plastic forensic scene sheet on the bed)

It's odd isn't it. Same two bedrooms over and over.

The one with the plastic covering over the bed in one shot has the TV on the wall in same shots and the no TV but the wire sticking out in others.

What's in the left part of all the photos too? Do you think it's his phone case?

LuluBlakey1 · 27/09/2023 22:40

catbla2957 · 27/09/2023 21:42

Much better- cheaper and has a floor plan

Haunted, surely? I couldn't live there.
