Yes! That bloody Hollywood handshake is the most irritating thing on the programme ( apart from Pauls general sliminess.) It makes me want to switch off every time they go on about his sweaty handshake, and it undermines Prue, I think. The episode with RB was awful. I would have been absolutely horrified if I was his wife, and he must have been there in the kitchen practicing making her vagina out of biscuits several times. Fielding had dodgy tastes in mates, but so do most showbiz people, considering how many unpleasant characters are around, but he said he didnt have a relationship with Pixie Geldof. There are no rumours around him as far as I know.

If your 'guilty by association' ethos is to be executed, you better destroy every Katy Perry track you find, cease to watch anything Jonathan Ross is associated with, not watch the next Big Brother series, refuse to buy books from the company that published 'My Booky Wook'.. how far are you going to go exactly OP?

Noel Fielding made rape jokes in a show along with Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand and Jimmy Carr. On another show the sainted Richard Herring was doubled over with laughter, almost pissing himself, as RB told him he had raped and murdered a woman. Fuck male comedians, they've been grooming us in plain sight for years.

do you not understand that there are far, far worse things that are acceptable to guardian readers today that really shouldn't stand the test of time? tavistock scandal for one; male rapists in female prisons for another
and yes, age gap relationships make me queasy NOW- there was a time when they barely raised an eyebrow- you cannot blame people for living according to the practices of the time- however unsavoury in hindsight
btw I'm not making a comment specifically on NF as this thread is the first I've heard of any rumours
I'm just sick of the new puritans who wilfully turn a blind eye to very obviously shitty practices going on today while garnering virtue points for slating stuff from the past- NF has a family- it's just a shitty thing to do

I was watching that. And Wossy acting like a friendly uncle to Lily Allen when he's the one who intro'd the rape jokes.

It’s not that everyone RB was friends with is suddenly guilty by association. It’s that channel 4 are now treating him like a pariah (rightly in my opinion) when only last year or whatever he was on their show. If rumours have been around for years, AND they enabled him in the ‘00’s, then they continued giving the man a platform until quite recently. Which I find hypocritical.

The last series of GBBO was so shit. And the one before wasn’t much better. Sick of it, no matter what presenter they get to pretend that constructing inedible constructions in impossible timeframes is ‘baking’.

Plus NF is unfunny and scrofulous and irritating.

Is it twee village fete baking (the tent, bunting, colour scheme etc) that should feature exemplary amateur delicious baked goods or is it ‘edgy’ Reality TV I’m In The Bake Off Tent Get Me Out Of Here with hi carb challenges?
