Yes that's what I'm saying! RB has been accused of raping and sexually assaulting teenage girls. NF was "rumoured" to be in a consensual relationship with a 16 year old, though he said they were just friends.

Apples and oranges in terms of not wanting to watch them/engage with anything they're associated with.

I knew Noel as a teen, was perfectly nice then, then met him again a few years ago through a neighbour, his partner was nice too.

I have no idea about his behaviour 15 years ago but it's really an act you see, in real life he wasn't as ott

I wasn't trying to be cryptic! I genuinely thought everyone would know because of all the publicity. Fielding is a long term friend of Brand's and "dated" Bob Geldof's 16 year old daughter when he was in his 30s.

He said at the time (and since) that he didn't date her because she was too young.

She is comparing a consensual (if morally dubious) relationship between Noel Fielding and the 16 year old to the abhorrent behaviour of the vile Russel Brand.

I have to say I'm surprised at the venom in these responses. You won't watch because someone on the show knew someone who is now in trouble? Really! It's a cooking competition. If you don't want to watch it - don't. If you don't like the hosts, don 't watch the show. Brand was on the show before the problems emerged and now you're blaming the show. Unbelievable. I enjoy watching, I ignore the corny hosts and root for my favorite. If the show no longer brings you pleasure, than don't watch it!

No, I am considering not watching it because someone on the show remained friends with someone who has been known to be a sexual abuser for some time, who made a rape joke on TV with the same person and who had a questionable relationship with a 16 year old girl. Rather different!

It's fairly off-topic really but when questions of age gaps and older men/younger girls comes up I can't help remembering that Prince Philip first met then Princess Elizabeth when he was 18 and she was 13, and she fell in love with him and they exchanged love letters for years afterwards. Now that's pretty dodgy in retrospect!

My sister went out with a bloke in his twenties when she was 16, he had small kids from a previous relationship and she'd just done her GCSEs, it's fairly grim behaviour but not criminal. Just a bit sad on the older bloke's part.

I don't like Noel either. He's too much of a try hard and thinks his stupid jumpers give him some sort of character when he has none at all.

He stole his 'look' off his first long term girlfriend anyway. She carries it much better than him and I bet she's got all the character to go with it.
