I think you'll have to cut out a lot of performers if you don't want anyone who has associated with RB.

Also it wasn't a rape is funny joke. They are offended at being seen as rapists. I remember watching it at the time and laughing. I'm a rape survivor.

'Have you done a rape?' are not the words of a man offended at being seen as a rapist. It's mocking rape.

I think it's extremely unlikely that Fielding found out last week when everyone else has known for years! Including me-and I am as far from the celebrity world as it is possible to be.

I notice you haven't commented on the rape joke?

Why have you watched it in other years if you’ve known for a long time, and presumably knew about their friendship during that period?

Like you've conveniently ignored that he says 'There’s a chemistry between us and we liked each other' in the same quote.

I don't know if the Sun ascribes made-up quotes to named people. If you know, do tell. I don't typically read it so couldn't tell you.

Once you do, I'll answer your 'genuine' question.

Ive not watched for a few years. Will be watching this year as there is a deaf BSL using competitor.
Ds2 who is profoundly deaf watches every year and he very excited.

Its entirely possible to have 'chemistry' with the opposite sex, acknowledge it exists and it never lead any where because you know morally/ethically it isn't going to be a good idea.

He also states he didn't know how young she was when they first met.. if you're out partying drinking/drugs..etc, why would you assume the young woman you're talking to/who is making eyes at you is anything other than over 18?

The whole quote had already been posted upthread and you still told me I conveniently ignored a bit. I haven't ignored anything either. I know newspapers can spin things but I'm not sure about ascribing whole quotes.

I was thinking exactly this today, that maybe the whole thing is just a cess pit heaving with ammoral perverted back stabbing vipers. I am sure that of course there are some decent and principled people there but a bit of me is just waiting for the next awful revelation

But you also chose a specific bit when you said "denying they were anything more than friends" and didn't include the rest of the sentence (he added: “When I first met her I had no idea who she was and that she was so young. It caused a lot of problems because her dad wanted to kill me obviously.”)

All of this is pointless anyway as someone had already posted the whole quote before you.

I mean that you asked me a few hours ago to 'let's leave it now', and I respected your wishes. That's not goady. Then you responded to one of my posts again, I'm not sure why, and it all kicked off again.

I think its massively unfair. Feilding has been in several long term relationships with females close to his own age; as far as I know he went through a phase of hanging out with all sorts after splitting form his Robots in Disguise girlfriend - apparently dating Cortney Love, and rumoured to have been with both Peaches and Pixie (obvs a common theme here)... Pixie was 16 but if he dated her I doubt it was because of her age, it was probably more to do with her fame and status - she was quite a celebrity at the time, same as her sister. I haven't heard anyone complaining about him. So until Pixie Geldof or someone else says he abused her I think this is complete bullshit.

Weird how Noel supposedly likes underage girls but always had a relationships with women around his own age. And married for over 10 years to someone only a couple of years younger than him.
