NF seems okay to me. I've yet to see anything that disgusts me to the point of boycotting everything associated with him. He appears to be no worse than the average person, certainly no worse than the average celebrity.

I think it's absolutely fine to question this very closely. It's extremely dubious.

Gross. He's saying here there's chemistry between them even after he knew she was 16 and there is a 17 year difference between them.

I love a bit of faux outrage, are you going to stop consuming any content if you don't morally agree with the actions of those in it, even if legal? What about those working behind the camera, you can't be too careful!

And let's not forget the OP themselves has known for years that Russel Brand is a rapist and hasn't yet clarified that they've been to the police about it!

The question is would any paper make up a quote?

Quoting from an 'unnamed source' is one thing, but ascribing a fake quote to someone in the public eye is asking for a lawsuit.

I stopped watching several years ago. I don't like NF- he makes my skin crawl like David Walliams does. I don't find Matt Lucas funny and I can't bear Alison Hammond. Prue Leith is as right wing as you can get.

I actually don't know, which is why I asked would a national paper make up a direct quote and say Noel said it. Seems like the fastest way to get sued to me.

You don't have to like Noel Fielding's humour. He's always had slightly quirky, offbeat humour that wasn't mainstream so I thought he was an odd pick for Bake Off. But anecdotally, he's always seemed like a nice person. There have never been any suggestions about lecherous behaviour and people who have met him in real life have always described him in positive terms. He often pops up on the "what nice celebrities have you met in real life" type threads.

As multiple other posters on this thread have pointed out, both Noel and Pixie have both denied that they ever dated. It's nothing more than a rumour with absolutely no proof, and a story that has always been denied by both parties.

Not quite sure why you've inserted a laughing emoji on a pretty serious subject, but OK.

Noel Fielding made rape jokes in a show along with Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand and Jimmy Carr. On another show the sainted Richard Herring was doubled over with laughter, almost pissing himself, as RB told him he had raped and murdered a woman. Fuck male comedians, they've been grooming us in plain sight for years.

Anyone making rape ' jokes' needs directing to the nearest cliff

The last series of GBBO was so shit. And the one before wasn’t much better. Sick of it, no matter what presenter they get to pretend that constructing inedible constructions in impossible timeframes is ‘baking’.

Plus NF is unfunny and scrofulous and irritating.

Is it twee village fete baking (the tent, bunting, colour scheme etc) that should feature exemplary amateur delicious baked goods or is it ‘edgy’ Reality TV I’m In The Bake Off Tent Get Me Out Of Here with hi carb challenges?

I think you'll have to cut out a lot of performers if you don't want anyone who has associated with RB.

Also it wasn't a rape is funny joke. They are offended at being seen as rapists. I remember watching it at the time and laughing. I'm a rape survivor.
