Any Bake Off fans feeling a little queasy...

I like Noel and have never heard anything dodgy about him. If Pixie Geldof also denied they dated then that's nothing but rumour.
During lockdown Noel did an art club thing encouraging kids to do art at home when home-schoolwork had become entirely focussed on maths and English. That put him in the "nice guy" camp as far as I'm concerned. Obviously I've never met him and could be wring but my impression is of a kooky uncle type not a pervy lech. I'm assuming those OP who are convinced otherwise have also never met him so it's all pointless speculation.

If you don't want to watch bake off don't. I'm sure plenty including me will.

Why ask me if I’m denying it was a different time? How is that relevant?

I can’t ‘infer’ anything, only the person interpreting can ‘infer’ something.

I'm pretty sure NF isn't close to RB.

A friend of mine has been close to NF and his partner for about 15 years...I've seen countless photos of the wider friendship group over the years, and never once has RB been there.

I think its just assumed they were close due to having a similar style and working together on shows such as big fat quiz etc

Struggling to keep up with the two-way conversation but I can’t see why watching the Bake Off would make anyone feel ‘queasy’ based on him Noel being Russel’s friend and consensually dating Pixie Geldof (which he denies anyway).

I like Noel Fielding. Wasn't keen on Matt Lucas as a presenter, so I will be more likely to watch Bake Off, not less.

I think this thread is pretty nasty, Noel Fielding hasn't done anything wrong.

I don't watch Bake Off and have never watched Russell Brand because I don't watch much TV. (Non judgemental of people who do - I just prefer to do other things). But I think of 16 year olds as children with developing brains and think that sex at that age is a really bad idea...And sex witha fully developedadult? Just no..

I think it's absolutely fine to question this very closely. It's extremely dubious.

I don't think people are mad at Russell brand for dating a 16 year old, yes it's gross but not illegal. I think their mad at him for being a rapist and I really don't see what noel fielding has to do with that. Iv had family and friends do some really bad stuff but im not to blame for it as It wasn't me.

I love a bit of faux outrage, are you going to stop consuming any content if you don't morally agree with the actions of those in it, even if legal? What about those working behind the camera, you can't be too careful!
