Which foods do you rarely see on menus now? I was watching some old adverts on YouTube for Little Chef and such which made me think of this.

Do you still get melon as a starter? I used to love that as a child. Also a glass of orange juice as a starter. I went to a hotel in around 2010 and they still had that as an option on the menu. I found it rather charming.

Scampi it’s still around but you have the right pub in love scampi, chips and peas

Bean burgers. I don’t want to eat pretend meat or a mushroom burger. Aldi used to do a lovely spicy bean burger now they only have in stock occasionally

I used to love scampi and chips, I thought it very fancy as a child. But since getting food poisoning from a portion of scampi a few years ago, I can't look at the stuff. Sad times.

I had scampi and chips on Friday night, we were away in Lisburn and they were on the menu. It was years since I had them and they were delicious.

There is always scampi available for Friday lunch in the work canteen (yes we are very lucky).

The Premier Inn, we stayed there for one night.

I keep a packet of scampi in the freezer for a quick easy meal.
Our local pub used to do them, until it changed hands.

I have scampi sandwiches instead of fishfinger ones.

Now that is a proper upmarket sandwich 😁
