Our flight was cancelled yesterday morning, the only way we could get to our destinations was to book a flight with a 1 hour stopover in Munich then onto Alicante. Well I've just checked the flight to Munich and it is now delayed by almost 3 hours 😩😩
wtf happens regarding our other flight ??

I'm so stressed out, just trying to get us and very upset kids on our holiday, they were heartbroken yesterday

Good news OP, I agree with others, always found them to be a brilliant airline with brilliant customer service.

I hope the rest of your time is stress free and you have a lovely break x

Just to update that we made it to Alicante !! Went smooth as it could do, no problems with the flights today at all and made our connection with a couple of hours to spare.
Lufthansa really are a great airline, can't fault them.
Thanks again everyone for your kind comments and advice.
Being here makes me see it was so worth the travel !

Also Frankfurt airport is huge !!

Hurrah! So glad you made it.

Frankfurt is big! Please imagine me (not a great runner, trailing a cabin suitcase behind me), husband (with huge rucksack), 7yo and 11yo (both with small rucksacks) sprinting from one end to the other with only a short pause half way while the passport control official takes a comically long time to scrutinise and stamp our passports before we started running again.

I could almost hear the slapstick music in the background. We must have looked mad. As we arrived at the connecting flight's gate, they announced the flight was delayed...

Great news, does Lufthansa still give toys to children?
I grew up an hours drive from Frankfurt airport. When I was re-routed via Frankfurt back in July it felt really strange not to walk out through baggage claim and meet my sister.

The advice I would give based on your drip feed is entirely different from the advice I would give based on your original post.

The advice the OP asked for was:

wtf happens regarding our other flight ??

The number, age and age of her kids and whether they're ND or not is irrelevant to the advice she asked for.

You've chosen to give a bunch of unasked for advice about whether the OP should go or not. That's on you.

👏👏👏👏👏

Some people 🙄

It's actually apparently beyond them to answer the question asked.

I once posted about my ds having ASD. In the same thread (wasn't OP) I mentioned HSP.

Someone jumped right on me. Decided I didn't know what medical condition I was apparently lying about my ds having.

I helpfully pointed out he has both! But I was using the one that was relevant to what I was posting at the time 🤷‍♀️

I swear there's people that scam the boards to point out (apparent) discrepancies rather to actually provide advice!
