Song that you irrationally hate…

Mine is (I’ve Had) the Time of My Life, from ‘Dirty Dancing’.

It’s like nails on a chalk board and I can’t even explain why. It’s not even the worst song but it gives me rage and I always have to turn over the radio when it’s on.

Add to that any song by Anastacia, although these days she is rarely played on the radio.

I’m hoping that it’s not just me and suspect everyone has “that song” that they just cannot stand, for no rhyme nor reason. What is yours?

That and that cringe worthy Ebony and Ivory. The sentiments are worthy but it's so saccharin and cheesy.

Anything by Chas ‘n Dave - especially Gercha. That contrived mockney thing that was ‘in’ at the time.

Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis. Mind you, I told an American friend that it was customary to sing it in British pubs!

Those cheesy songs like Sweet Caroline, Build up Buttercup, come on Eileen - they are really awful.
Also can’t stand anything by Amy Whinehouse, I have to switch stations

Controversial I know but Mr Brightside. Everyone goes nuts and runs to the dance floor and shouts along. It’s just so monotone.

Anything by coldplay but especially Fix you, where Chris cannot hit a singke note .....

Madonnas version of American pie - you can hear her smiling. It is not a song to smile through. Completely missed the tone of that one.

When younger my DD took a dislike to Rick Astley and would rock back and forth hands over her ears shouting to "make it stop" whenever he came on. The aversion was so extreme it was hilarious in a 2 year old! Now she's fine with him.

urgh the guy who used to take a Bootcamp class I went to sometimes did a class “finisher” to this. On “Roxanne” you do a press up and on “red dress” you do a burpee. Literally inhumane.
