Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

Good question. Unsure at this stage, but through AXS / Ticketmaster I would imagine as I believe that is the only way.

It isn’t possible to sell via AxS or Ticketmaster to a specified person.

You sell the ticket on the platform and they add and deduct a massive wedge of fees and someone buys them via the platform, or you take your chances someone you meet online is genuine. And will actually transfer once permitted (this could be blocked right up to a few days before).

unless you know the person, swap is a big leap of faith!

I know I'm late to the party, but I have 2 x "Its a Love Story" tickets for Anfield on Thursday 13th June - seats Section U3 Row 66 Seat 73 and 74 and wondered if anyone had alternative seats they would be willing to swap for these as its states "not suitable for those with a fear of heights" and I'm scared of heights!
I'm not after transferring the tickets or anything, literally anyone else there on that day, using our original tickets to get through the gate and then swapping seats...

On a side note, if anyone has an additional 2 seats they are willing to sell for the same date/venue (so I would 4 tickets instead of 2) please let me know :-) I have seen some for sale on Viagogo but not sure if these will be accepted.

@feellikezerobucks have you looked at photos from your seats or there about? They might not be as bad as you think. Depends what triggers your vertigo - iyswim

Also, you can't buy tickets from randoms on Mumsnet without risking being scammed. Keep trying ticket master. It's safer

Thanks @LoudAndSqueaky. I've looked at the seats view and I just worry I'll be nervous of my 10y DD and will have to look incredibly untrendy in my specs as I won't be able to see anything...
First world problem I know, but think some of it is frustration as I initially had great tickets in my basket but TM screwed up and wouldn't let me check out so in the end I panicked and brought any I could find (and then saw about the height thing!)

I have 2 tickets for Edinburgh 8th June as got a code after the first presale codes - so they were the super pricey ones and therefore great seats as huge TS fan as is daughter - I'd like to swap ideally for London but would consider Cardiff

I have 4 seated tickets for London 23rd june and need to swap to any other UK venue/date. Must be seated. I have no idea how to do this and would need to meet or speak to the person to sort. Bought on ticketmaster and am not looking to make a profit. This date is just no longer suitable. Ideally the 21st in London but would also travel.

You cannot yet. Tickets cannot be transferred yet only sold back.

No they don't work like that,
You'll only be able to transfer to another person not to a different date/time. It's sold out as far as I know so there's not tickets available (other than resale) to transfer to.

Your only option now really for a different date is to sell yours and try for resale

You can transfer to a different person a couple of weeks before with payment arranged outside app. If you do payment via app you can only resell I think and you cannot choose a person.

The 2 London tickets I have are for 22nd June, general admission standing. Are your Edinburgh tickets for the 8th June standing or seated?

Unless you actually know the person you want to swap, sell or buy tickets from you would be really daft to trust some random poster on the internet. There is no way of doing it safely. If you want to sell or buy tickets then use ticketmaster.

If you were a scammer this is exactly the type of forum you would try.

i agree- trying various places and how to verify so don’t get scammed as I’m hoping there are genuine people out there too 🤞 but without giving away too much personal information!

Hi, I’ve recently found out im pregnant and due on the 9th June. I have 2 tickets for Liverpool on the 13th and was wondering if anyone would want to swap with me so I can go to her August show in London?! This is a surprise pregnancy and I am very happy but one of my first thoughts was oh no! I won’t be able to see Taylor! I’ve been obsessed with her since I was a teenager and it’s the first time I’ve been able to afford tickets so I’m going to be heartbroken. Obvs very happy to be having a baby but just hope I still get to see her in august!!

I have 4 VIP general admission floor tickets for WEMBLEY, August 17th. I am looking to trade or buy 4 seated tickets for any of the August shows at Wembley (or possibly elsewhere in the UK), we have 2 under 14 daughters who we got the tickets for and did not realise that under 14s are banned on the pitch at Wembley :( Let me know if anyone is interested in selling or trading!

As previous posters have said it's not a good idea to buy or try and trade tickets with random people on the internet. There are too many scammers about and they are too good! You are best selling back your tickets to Ticketmaster and trying to buy new tickets from there.

Hi, I have 4 tickets for London Sunday 23rd June and I need 4 for Friday 21st! Big nightmare with something which has come up on the Sunday! They must be seated. Does this help you at all?
