Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

You can add the fees on but no more.

Wouldn’t the person who bought these also legitimately need a carer?

It looks that way, as the tickets were being allocated for specific needs and you needed to register your needs before the original sale last year.

Presumably the poster would also need accessible tickets for Edinburgh too.

@Starkraving Did you know that you can contact Ticketmaster for temporary accessible needs support which covers broken legs etc & pregnancy?

Thanks. We did contact them but they said they couldn’t do anything because we got our tickets pin the presale. I don’t know why that should be an issue as it’s still through TM. I’ll try again though.

@Starkraving you can try contacting tm but they weren't very helpful when we had issues (different reason) they had a tough luck attitude, not helpful when tickets were bought pre covid, delayed by 2,years and emergency op on the Tuesday of that week!

I think the problem is that this show is incredibly in demand with everyone, disability/accessibility tickets were just as competitive as standard ones, they too sold out very quickly, and as a result they are not available to people who find they need to switch to them unexpectedly.

There are so many tickets on Viagogo, but a warning comes up that resale is not allowed and you may be refused entry. You would get your money back; but imagine reaching the doors and being turned away.
I have used them for other concerts and not had any issue with the tickets being in a different name, but I get the feeling this one is different/more strict?

I went to see her in Lisbon and they just scanned the tickets. No checks. They’re more interested in seeing if you have any drinks than anything else

I have 4 front left standing tickets to the Cardiff show on June 18th. I have a funeral that day so was hoping to swap for any of the London June shows, or Dublin shows 🙏🏼 I could potentially just swap 2 of them rather than 4 if needed x

Hi, has anyone found a way to safely swap tickets? we have 3 standing tickets for the 20th August at Wembley, my daughter will be away then and was hoping to swap for any UK dates before August! But from what I've read theres no secure way to trade them! thanks for any help

@mrochester I don't think there is. Even if you were swapping for the same night (e.g. standing for seated) someone would have to be the first to push transfer leaving themselves exposed. People have said they would meet in person to mitigate this, but even so transferring to someone you don't know is a risk without much recourse or time to figure out a solution. What you are asking is a much higher bar still and it won't be attractive to many people. Your tickets are not available to transfer yet and won't be until August if the current timelines apply, so you are asking someone to send you tickets months before you are able to follow up in return, I simply wouldn't trust a stranger on this.

You best bet is to ask within your circles where trust already exists. The one thing on your side is that the August shows were slightly more sought after since they don't clash with A-Levels and GCSEs.

Well the Viagogo ticket I bought in desperation still hasn't been transferred (for tonight) so I don't think I'm going. They can transfer right up to the last minute, but if they actually have a ticket to sell why would they wait?
It was worth a punt though, I'll need to reclaim the money.

Hi, we have 2 standing tickets!

They won't be able to transfer August tickets until a week or two before the August gig.

In a hypothetical situation, you agree to swap (say) tickets for Cardiff in June with (say) tickets for Wembley in August with a total stranger. You transfer your June tickets via an email address using AXS ticket transfer. They have a lovely time.

A couple of weeks before the August gig, you nudge them to remember to transfer the Wembley tickets to you. Nothing.

Someone on another thread last week is still waiting for her Edinburgh tickets to be transferred to her, as promised.

Please use official ticket resale if you can't go.

We would love to swap and give any personal details needed for reassurance for the swap, also proof of purchase etc x

Proof of purchase is meaningless though. It doesn't mean you would actually swap your ticket.
There are too many scammers around. You would be daft to 'swap with a random stranger on the internet.
