Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

FWIW I don’t think it will be difficult to transfer tickets. You transfer to members of your party even if you use them yourself.

I'm hoping that they can be transfered as the site kept crashing for me so my son bought them for myself and daughter.
On the AXS there is an option to transfer tickets to another person, surely people buy tickets as presents all the time!

This is true. I bought 3 tickets using my code for Edinburgh night one and have been able to go in and use my code for Edin night 2/3 but only for 1 ticket

Not true, I used my midnights pre sale code twice. I got two tickets for Edinburgh and two for Liverpool 😊

Hi! Just replying here as well as your PM for thread completeness so that others can see. I've got general standing tickets (I'm not a fan of being seated at concerts), they were approx £109 each.

I don't know how swapping can take place without the risk of being scammed.

I've read for other countries that tickets will only actually be available in the app one week before the date. Suspect at that point they will be able to be transferred either to distribute to others in your group or possibly via a resale option. I sold some face value Adele tickets last summer using PayPal Goods & Services as it seemed to offer both of us the best protection. We had been messaging for some time over Messenger and only set up the transaction once the tickets were available in my account to be transferred.

Got 2 tix yesterday in the 1pm sale for London 16th August.
Feel I've been in one of those okd-fashioned scrummages you saw on TV for the opening day of sales!
DD is thrilled and it's her 18th in 2024 so for her it was worth it, though I was cursing Tay Tay!

With Ticketmaster resale you can't pick who buys them, they go back into the general pool of available tickets. So you couldn't guarantee you'd be able to swap.

Axs have confirmed by message to me tickets can be transferred nearer to time.

So I'll buy your tickets and you buy mine. Who goes first? Who presses the buy button first? Someone will end up with two lots of Taylor Swift tickets and someone with none!

Unless you actually know the person I think swapping is opening yourself up to getting scammed. ( I get you won't loose money but you will end up with no tickets)

Or you both use PayPal Goods & Services to sell/purchase both sets of tickets and accept the small fee to do so costs both of you money but also gives you both reassurance.

You can definitely transfer tickets to someone else on Ticketmaster, I did it on Sunday.
Also from another thread they've said you can use your code several times to buy up to four tickets, but I'm not sure if you can use the presale code for anywhere other than the venue you registered for 🤷‍♀️

You can use Twickets to resell tickets, they only allow the original ticket price, afaik.

Completely missed the Taylor Swift ticket hype and DD asked today to go 😱
She is rarely interested in going to anything.

Anyone know is there a General sale or similar without needing a code? or am I best trying a reseller?

@WinchSparkle80 people who have tickets so far have been part of the presale which is going on this week.

the general sale is next week, however, you had to have registered interest by filling out an online form weeks ago. Those who registered will either be chosen for access codes allowing them into the sale or waitlisted via a ballot process - we find this out on Friday about these access codes. These codes are attached to your TicketMaster or AXS profile, thus making them non-transferrable.

unfortunately, it's too late for you to register so even though the general sale hasn't happened yet, you have no chance of taking part. Unless you or your dd have friends who also want to go and have been on the ball with this (and are lucky enough to get tickets) your only option is reseller.

I could be wrong but as far as I understand there is no general sale as such. It's either the pre sale code that's happening now, or a few weeks back you could register for UK venues & you may or may not get a code to access that sale which I think is next week.

You can definitely use your code twice, I've been able to use the same code to get 2 for different dates and shows - hope that helps!
