Taylor Swift Eras Tour Ticket Swap

Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

I have a similar issue. We have four tickets for Wembley on Fri 16th August.

The tickets are standing, but we didn't realise our youngest daughter is too young for standing.

Does anyone have four seated tickets on the same day they'd be interested in swapping?

Guess it depends how young the youngest is, I cannot imagine they are going to check ID, it would take hours, and what ID would a 14 yr old usually have?

find a new husband, they're far more readily available than Taylor Swift tickets 😂

In all seriousness I don't know how a way to do this safely for both parties given swaps through TM & AXS aren't available and ticket transfer and actual tickets won't become available until days before the event. In your situation you would be asking a stranger to send you tickets in June and then hope you will be as good as your word until August. I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

I think you are best asking within your circles where trust already exists - colleagues, friends, wider family, mums at school gate... The August tickets are a touch more sought after as they don't clash with GCSEs and A Levels, so you might find that a friend and her 15 y/o daughter would be delighted to swap with you.

I've considered it. Annoyingly the children are quite attached to him though.

You can transfer tickets on the AXS app. But yes, I would want to meet someone so that a mutual transfer could be done at the same time.

Will keep looking for another pair. Currently, AXS has kicked me off for checking so many times it thinks I'm a bot...!

This won't work as the tickets are only released to the person who bought the ticket just before the event. So it would only work if the tickets you wanted to swap were for events that were a day or so apart.

This would put the person swapping with you in a bad position. They would have to send you their tickets before you would be able to send yours to them. They would just have to trust you and whilst you might be genuine there would be know way to know that.

it is indeed a tricky one - similarly, I could send over my genuine tickets only to discover in Wembley that the other person's tickets are duds (the Cardiff dates are earlier in June), so it's a trust issue all round.

The alternative is to sell and buy via the resale vending sites, but I don't think they're particularly good options either :( Unfortunate position to be in really, but it's the night before my dd's final A'level exam and she's gutted. Open to any other better suggestions though? 🙏

Ugh, that's terrible timing.

Can you advertise at work or locally or somewhere where you would at least vaguely know the other person.

I'd never risk swapping otherwise. There are to many scammers and they are too clever.

You can use some sort of escrow service as has been discussed earlier

Not sure. Did TM do sales for Paris and Stolkholm also? If so could be worth seeing if you can find out from people who attended those shows.

TM says the barcode won’t go live until 3 days before, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at the same time.

@SummaLuvin Oh I hadn’t seen the 3 days thing on ticketmaster, thank you! I assume it’ll be when the actual tickets go live. I was expecting it to be quite close to the shows so 3 days would likely be about right 😊

Has anyone received their VIP goodie packs yet. TM said they would start to send them out from 19 April onwards. I have to get them to a colleague 200 miles away who I have tickets for so his fiancee wouldn't find out.
